Aaaaaarghgh!! Yikez!!!!!!!! Oh my Goodness hearing ('enduring' is a better word)this heap of cow dung is worse than being covered in poisonous snake slime venom, it's worse than being sent off to the farthest planet in the Galaxy with only a pack of Dunkin' Donuts to digest.
Listening to Spek to me is like having your nails clipped with a mowing machine. Hearing The great Keck in the sky is like a scene from Hostel 2, Time and Money are cheap no-good filthgangbusters, Us and them is like having a gasmask on you just when you wake up. The other tracks are like being washed in Chlorine Acids.

Dear people, Although I've grown up on McGuinn, Clark and Hillman I can 'dig ' this poorly edited CD, for starters the vocals are most of the time mixed so deep in the mix you cannot even detect them, this is especially true for large parts of Shine on you crazy diamond and the middle eight section of Wellcome to the machine, tis' just plain inaudible!!! This is a bad quality as POLYDOR JAPAN has left us with.
I really appreciate the superficial tunes by McGuinn, Clark and Hillman better, but OK says I: what gives?
Release Date April 25, 2000
My oh my how I love this greatest hits collection. It really has all the goodies on 2 brilliantly splendid CDs! On CD1 we get treated on Astronomy Domino, Lewd Sam and their TOPHit Water Bearer from the 1978 album Nunks.
On CD2 we can't miss the grandiose Shine On! yer crazy diamond you and the magnus opus 'Anomalies' (dived in Dogs, Sheep, Muffins and Cows).
The smashing closing piece is 'Inflatable Thumbs' one hell of a funny tune.
They were allways good for kicks!
Release Date April 04, 2006
I bought this mostly for "You and Your Hand". However, while that's still a favorite, "Dear Mr. President" is excellent as well as the "Stupid Girls" which is being played on air. There is also a bonus track not listed that is done by Pink and her dad about his Vietnam War experience which is very good. The insert to the cd (the paper thing with the lyrics) is also quite interesting. It has many pictures and her "insights" to the cd, life, etc. I would definitely recommend it, am glad I bought it and I will NOT be putting it on eBay as I do many cds I buy and don't care for!

I am an audio engineer and musician by trade. I like Floyd but amd not a huge fan and this is my first album of theirs. For starters, the CD layer sounds like it's at least a 4th generation 1/4" copy duped at too high of a level. Luckily, this master was spared the horrific loudness was exploitation so the sound is fairly open. But the over-cooked source tape causes the loud passages to get a bit mushy and dull.
Now for the SACD. They obviously went through great efforts to try and recreate the original mix as well as possible. The natural dynamics of the recording really shine and there's good usage of all the channels without being overtly weird with placement. The only real problem I can hear is the vocals are a bit overly bright, to the point ... Read More:

The first time I heard this would be kind of album I was imagining little brown things dropping from Roger Waters' behind. 12 years later my sentiment's the same but my dad keeps on playing this garbage.
All the six tracks: Cats, Rats, Centipedes, Mammoths and Lice all sound completely interchangable. (yeah I know its Dogs Sheep Fish and the other thing, but it's blatantly the same anyway).
Pink Floyd hit it big in the beginning of their carear but lost it with Meddle and A dark sight of the moon. Take Ummagumma, Soucerful, AHM, Obscured by clouds if you are fan of classic rocK, but avoid this horrible piece of dung from...animals.
Release Date November 18, 1997
I love this CD! I am not a musician but can appreciate all the work that went into this music. The music is incredible, the lyrics wonderful and China Forbes voice is flawless! The varied influences and languages make this a great collection.
Release Date May 15, 2007
Pink Martini's music is global music sung in different languages and to romantic beats. My favorite is the poignant signature song "Hey Eugene" -- tells the story of meeting someone, you feel a spark but they don't follow through and call. I love this album!
Release Date October 25, 1990
This album is as good as Floyd classics, but never gets mentioned the same breath as Dark Side of the Moon or the ones that followed it. It's an extraordinarily well made album, brilliantly sequenced, written, and performed. It's also a true Floyd album, with all band members contributing to the songwriting. It starts with the amazing, scary One of These Days. The next song, A Pillow of Winds, is one of Floyd's most beautiful ballads. San Tropez is cute and beautiful, and Seamus, which sounds like a throwaway, nevertheless is good. The best song is the side long, epic Echoes (here in its full length 23 minute version. The version on the greatest hits CD Echoes has been edited!). It's an amazing song, with some of Waters's best lyrics and beautiful vocals from Gilmour and Wright ... Read More:

Pink Martini are a Portland phonomenon. I am so happy to sing their praises. A fluke united their talent & 'the rest is history'. This album highlights the talents of all the band members, as well as several guests. Several songs are in different languages. Each member of this 'orchestra' is talented beyond belief. Their music is classical jazz/samba/blues ....fill in the blank. This is my feel good, clean the house, enjoy the day, cook an amazing meal track. It is so beautiful & uplifting. It stays in my CD & has also been a gift to several of my special friends.
