Outkast - Greatest Hits

Release Date January 07, 2002
I think it's good...all of these songs i've heard before and have made mixes of. It's better to finally have an actual cd that has all of my favorite songs.

CD-Charts Music : Again

Again

by: Lenny Kravitz & OutKast

Release Date July 10, 2001
All I can say is that the song 'Again' was a beautiful ballad but when remixed by Earthtone III, it gets alot funkier. lenny and OutKast kill this track though many would deem them an unlikely combination. However, in this remix they created a beautiful rock and soul hybrid. We need more records like this.

Release Date September 29, 1998
this jumbly wombly babble is not really music, more angry poetry set to
the copy-cat unimaginative "same-old" cadence of modern rap music whose main message is always violent and anti-beauty and art. I did want to listen to it because someone recommended it..keep an open mind you know,
but I think music really needs to get past this stage. It's great as a musical experiment, but I'm hoping society can move forward into the
future with better genres than this. If everybody listens to this junk,
then our prisons will end up filled by the brainwashed.
(..but that's only my opinion, so please don't come shoot me.)
Have a nice day,.

Ms. Jackson

by: OutKast

Release Date January 16, 2001
Ms Jackson rocks! What a great song, I have to admit the lyrics and tune are still bouncing around inside my head and I keep smiling every time I think about the dogs and cat in the video who seem to be rapping along with the singers, for some reason this makes the song more poignant, and though I know that some of the words are meant to be serious, some sardonic, there is also an element of humour in this song, visual as well as verbal. Outkast certainly have done themselves justice with this single, I only wished they had included the video on the CD, as I would have loved to have played it on my computer. Go out an buy it, you won't regret it I promise you.

Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik

by: OutKast

Release Date August 23, 2006
A bit more of a stereotypical rap album than the group's later work, which is probably why I didn't like it much the first time I heard it. I'm not a fan of stereotypical G-Funk, see, and that's all I heard in it the first time through. God, was I wrong. It's deeper than that, even though it's not fully immersed in the "alternative" thing yet. So even the more "playa-business" oriented tracks - "Ain't No Thang," "Myintrotoletuknow," "Call of Da Wild," "Claimin' True," "Crumblin' Erb," "D.E.E.P." - has OutKast's trademark dark, quirky, layered production. And the classic songs kick as much butt as the best of OutKast's later albums do. The title track is a condensed Isaac Hayes epic with hip-hop beats; breakthrough hit "Player's Ball" has a great ...
