Disney's The Little Mermaid (2008 Original Broadway Cast)

I bought this as a gift for my 7 year old, but I listen to it more than she does. We saw the show in NY in August and this cd transports us back to Broadway each time we listen to it. The songs written to showcase "Prince Eric's" voice are so beautiful they bring tears to my eyes. You will love this music!

It's all here. I have waited too long to get this music. Since seeing the show I was intrigued and captivated by the music and I am so happy the music is finally available! Outstanding musical performances by the entire cast, and yes, this music can be enjoyed even if you did not see the show, but have the slightest inking of the story.
Hunter Foster is amazing in this masterpiece of Musical Theater.

Tarzan - The Broadway Musical (Original Broadway Cast)

Don't be fooled, this does not even come close to other musical works of disney such as beauty and the beast. I can't believe people actually rated that they like this! It must be because they must never heard the original music recording of the animated movie. The songs here are cheap imitations of good songs in a good score. The score is just all around bland. True the lyrics aren't clever but that might have been overlooked if it had at least a good score behind them but no....

P.S. Tarzan sounds like a woman

Holiday In Plaid

This is a wonderful addition to the Plaids! Now I can have them truly all year long! Saw this show in San Diego this year, loved it. I have seen Forever Plaid many times (huge fan!), but this was really special.

Romeo & Juliette

First of all, let me say that you should probably attempt to get the entire cast recording or, better yet, the DVD if at all possible. Still, this is one of the most beautiful musicals I have ever seen, along with Notre Dame de Paris, Les Miserables, etc. The casting is, for the most part, perfect; Damien Sargue (Romeo) has a classically wonderful voice and Cécilia Cara (Juliette) has a clear, pure voice which both fits the role and is a refreshing change from the loud, obnoxious voices one often finds in American theatre.
While in my opinion some of the best songs are missing, anyone should be able to enjoy this selection as well. While I'm a French major and so had little difficulty understanding the lyrics, it should help that this story is so well ... Read More:
