I had the pleasure of photographing Nick at the Hartford Jazz Festival, back in June '08. I have heard his music many times before but you really have to see him to really feel his intensity. The CD is fantastic but to have the full effect, you have to see him live to get his full sound and picture. He is such a showman as well as a talented musician. My friend Jabari was touring with him, this summer, as his drummer and I had to come see Nick perform some of his new tunes. I now have a fuller appreciation for Nick's new CD after seeing him live. Do yourself a favor and see Nick Live and you will see why he has "No Limits!"

Keepin' It Cool

This is a great CD. The musicianship is extraordinary!
I just saw Nick Colionne and his great band LIVE at the Close Up 2 Smooth Jazz Festival here in downtown Chicago! It was a great performance and the audience loves him. This guitar artist is a must have for smooth jazz fans especially those who want a departure from the saxophone. Keepin it Cool is one of many great titles by Nick. Just Come on In

Maybe not bad as background music but definately not the connosoir's choice of good jazz. NC is an average guitar player and definately not the Larry Carlton or Lee Rittenoir!
The numbers also are very boring. Same percussive intros and boring repetitive tempos.

Absolute waste of money!

The Seduction

Nick Colionne is a blink away from superstardom with this CD. It got a GREAT review in JAZZIZ magazine so I bought it and was really glad I did. I have seen him perform "live" in Chicago area concerts and he is an amazing entertainer, not to mention a fantastic guitar player. This CD is great and George Benson/Norman Brown/Wes Montgomery fans will love it..

Nick Colionne is a real master of contemporary jazz guitar. According to a review I read of his last CD, The Seduction, his playing was influenced by Wes Montgomery and George Benson with a touch of Jimi Hendrix. That pretty much describes his style....he's terrific and I loved this CD (which was his first).
