I thought about buying this disc for about a year before I did and I'm writing this so you don't have to. It's gorgeous and haunting. The Muses' covers of Latin Playboys songs, in this case "Crayon Sun," are just plain awesome. I haven't heard the original, but the guitar and percussion arrangements and the dark, polished sparseness of this version make it a must-hear. Similar techniques are used for the other tracks (Red Eyes and Like a Dog). They are typical Throwing Muses b-sides - which means that they are incredible and are in a class of their own. Cave Pt.2

I'm totally drunk out of my mind right now, but I'm playing some Liz Phair right now and was scrolling through my mp3 collection thinking about how I'd like to hear all three of these songs (Cave, Host, Coma). This is definitely one of the best singles ever. I have only purchased Radiohead singles, but this one might be better than all those. Muse's two best songs are the b-sides and the a-side is the most mature song on Showbiz. I might buy this sucker right now, but I'm drunk. So, yeah. I've corrected so many spelling mistakes. Coma is the best Muse song, Host may be the second best. Buy this, if you have the money.

The quest for world domination continues. Here is Muse's third instalment of progressive, heavy rock. This time it's a double CD of B-sides and live songs. First, the B-sides. It must be said that Muse have a fairly set sound, and a lot of their songs sound fairly similar. Upon closer inspection, you will notice that it is mainly Matt Bellamy's voice that causes this effect. This is more evident that ever on the B-sides album. Many of these songs experiment further away from their album tracks. Opener Forced In is spaced out and eerie rather than in-your-face, and Map of Your Head is a sprightly, major-chord formed ditty, complete with medieval acoustic guitar, yet Matt Bellamy's voice causes them to sound like trademark Muse all the same.

Sing for Absolution

Being a big fan of Muse and having seen them live, I knew what I was getting when I bought this CD/DVD. I wanted to see the Video of Sing for Absolution and see what these guys could put together.

The CD only has 2 songs Absolution and Fury. The song Fury is one of the best low bass songs I believe I have ever hear and if nothing else it alone was worth the $12.

There is a depressing point of the DVD it is made overseas so I could not watch it on my regular DVD player and thus had to use my PC DVD player.

All around great work again by MUSE!!
