The Infamous

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date April 25, 1995
I know im one of the few that liked Hell on Earth or Murda Muzik more then this. I felt like this album was almost a little boring, so when i listen to it I play 5 songs at a time rather then the whole album. This is a hardcore album, cant deny that. Eye for a eye is a really dope track, Nas and Raekwon lay it down on this track. Shook Ones and Survival of the fittest are classic hip hop singles and are the reason i picked this album up. Up north trip is really dope same as trife life. If you love the east coast sound you should have this album in your collection but i wouldnt call this album one of the best from the east. Pick up some black moon or kool g rap first then check this album

Murda Muzik

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date August 17, 1999
I think this could be my favorite album by Mobb Deep, after this they really fell off. The Realest is one of the hardest tracks i ever heard. Allustrious is also really dope. This album is underrated i feel a lot of people get The Infamous and feel thats all they need but this album should be a part of the collection as well. Quiet Storm is one of their most known tracks but i feel its one of the weaker tracks from the album. Thug Muzik is a strong track and the features add to this album without stealing the spotlight. I would recommend this before you pick up anything else by Mobb Deep.

Hell on Earth

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date August 24, 1999
Nice album to reflect on the past to. Still gotta bump this disc from time to time. Havoc was killin' em' on the beats back then. That's when Prodigy was spitting those memorable flows. Ever since they linked up with Fifty tho I never came close to wanting to touch another album. In 96' they "Dropped a Gem on em" tho. -Ya'll rembember.

Blood Money

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date May 02, 2006
This album was just not the sound I was expecting from Mobb Deep even if they did sign with G-Unit. I miss that Infamous, Hell on Earth sound. I guess its gone forever. I know you can't duplicate an album like "The Infamous" but did it have to come to this? I wasn't expecting another "Infamous" or "Hell on Earth" but I wasn't expecting this either. I'm starting to think it's true what people have been saying for a while, that since Jay-Z took a shot at Mobb Deep they've lost their fire. The only songs on this album that really stood out to me were Put Em In Their Place, Speakin' So Freely and Click Click Click. The rest were average to garbage. I've been a Mobb Deep fan since "The Infamous" album and I own almost everything by Mobb Deep. I actually had high ... Read More:

Amerikaz Nightmare

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date August 10, 2004
Before this album, Mobb Deep (consisting of Havoc & Prodigy) were hopping record labels. From the now defunct record label, Loud Records, which they released their previous full length album Infamy in '02, as well as many albums before that, to KOCH Records where they released their mixtape Mobb Deep, Free Agents: The Murda Mix Tape in mid '03. Both solid albums, when compared to a lot of albums that they have released. In '04, they landed a deal on Jive/Zomba Records to release Amerikaz Nightmare (and then go to G-Unit a year later), which was in my opinion, one of the most anticipated albums of summer of 2004.

This album is very good in my opinon. The first single "Got It Twisted" was great and really had me waiting for this album. A few ... Read More:

Infamy

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date December 11, 2001
Not sure what was going on with Mobb Deep at the time when this came out. Around this time this album came out, I was 16 and was basically loving everything that they were putting out, since I got into them with Prodigy's "H.N.I.C.". Especially with the whole ordeal with Jay-Z who took a few shots at them (i.e. "Takeover") I couldn't wait for them to respond.

Back when I was a teenager, I thought this was an excellent album, but when I listen to it today, I just see it as very good. If I recall correctly, the lead single was "Burn" featuring Big Noyd (BET might have played the video a total of two times), in which I thought the song was dope as hell. Their second single was more radio/pop friendly with "Hey Luv (Anything)" featuring 112 that was okay to ... Read More:

The Infamous Archives

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date March 13, 2007
J-Love comes to bring you 28 tracks of some of the MO double B's rarer tracks, on the first disc you have 14 songs that sound like they're mostly from the mid 90's, on disc 2 you get 14 songs that are more recent and recorded over the past 6 years or so. If you're a die hard Mobb fan you've undoubtedly have heard some of these before (I've heard about 8 or 9 of them), but it's still an album you have to get. Guests are on about 2/3 of the tracks. Production credits as well as the guests aren't given any credit as to who they are. Prodigy is on 25 of the 28 songs and Havoc is on 21 of the 28. It has 9 average songs and the other 19 are good or real good songs. A must have for true Mobb fans.

#2 - 8 (Havoc f/ tragedy khadafi)

Life of the Infamous: The Best of Mobb Deep

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date October 31, 2006
If you want the best of Mobb Deep, pick up The Infamous first and then pick up Hell on Earth. Those are by far Mobb Deep's best albums.

This collection does not contain the best of Mobb Deep's work. Instead, it is more a singles collection. But when you have as many tracks from Infamy as you do from The Infamous, you know this is a flawed disc. Way too many tracks from the later Mobb albums and way too few from their earlier ones. Also, some key singles like "Peer Pressure" and "Give up the Goods" are missing.

Hell on Earth

by: Mobb Deep

Release Date November 19, 1996
Hell on earth is mobb deep's darkest album and its their third album not second counting juvinell hell which was weak in my opinion... Mobb used to be hungry in these dayz and the infamous was another classic but now ? Mobb sleep are sell outs. I wont be surprised if they have a tv show on mtv or hollywood. Shame.
