There's one thing you can count on with Madonna - there's new music always coming down the pipeline, and every CD is different. This one isn't going to be one for the ages.

Overall, it's a decent album. It's not anything revolutionary or an attempt to kick the industry in the behind, like "Confessions..." and "Ray of Light" were. But it's different from the last, in style and tempo, so she's holding true to form.

"4 Minutes" didn't seem to get as much top 40 fanfare as I thought and that might have been a sign that the entire album isn't going to be well received. "Give it to me" is the follow-up which hasn't had much, if any, airplay.

You have to hand it to Madonna, she's a marketing genius! Proving once again that what you lose on the swings you gain on the round-a-bouts, this "Girlie Show" inspired maxi-single serves up 8 mouth-wateringly delicious remixes, all of which re-interpret the pomp and pageantry of "Give It To Me" in a completely different way! You would be hard-pushed not to find something to your liking here! Detractors will find fault, of course, but you don't last 25 years in the harsh music industry without learning a thing or two about how to please your audience and corner the market! An astute business move indeed!

The Immaculate Collection

By the time this collection was released in 1990, Madonna had already made about 90% of her most essential recordings, so there certainly are several great songs here. However, this collection is flawed in a couple of ways. Some of her most essential songs, such as "Holiday," "Borderline," "Like A Virgin," and "Like A Prayer" are all here, as they well should be. However, if you listen closely, you'll notice that many of the songs sound considerably different than they did on the LPs or cassettes that you had in the 80s. Also, some of the songs (noticeably "Borderline") have had quite a bit of their original length chopped off. Finally, there are some less-than-subtle omissions. This is a unbeleivable dance music CD. Very nice job by Madonna. If you love rythmic dance music, buy this album, its worth it. I am giving five star, bcz all tracks are beautiful. WoW.............

This is a great DVD/CD combo. The artistry is second to none by Madonna, and it gets me in the mood for the weekend, for work, or for housework!

Now, sing at the top of your lungs, "I FEEL LOVEDDDDDDD..." after the first song. :)

Ray of Light

Forever a fan. I still have the "Ray of Light" cassette tape I bought in 98', along with the ROL CD and of course a few single remixes from this album. Timeless and classic. Every single song on this CD stands out on its own merit and artistic value. Each song blends and molds perfectly for what I consider to be her greatest masterpiece so far.

For ten years now I have been listening to this CD and not once have I got bored or tired of it. Each play is like hearing it for the first time and falling in love with it all over again. The videos that accompanied the songs from this album only highlight how "full on" in harmony she was for this entire project. Everything was as it should be. And it glowed radiantly, still does.

Madonna: GHV2 (Greatest Hits Volume 2)

This CD contains more of Madonna's hits from after the time that "The Immaculate Collection" was released. However, there are no new studio tracks on this CD. Every track on this CD is also the Radio Edit of the song in question. The only people I know who eagerly seek out these hard-to-come-by radio edits are the die hard Madonna fans (like myself).

While some of the songs I question as to their status as a "greatest hit", like "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" (wasn't 'You Must Love Me' a bigger hit? Yes, it was, and yet it's not included here) and "Deeper And Deeper" (I can honestly say I have NEVER hear this song on the radio).
