I heard "Dance to the End of Love" on MPR and thought, wow neat song and ordered the CD. Kinda bluesy, kinda Billy Holiday. Whats not to like there? The more I listened to the CD, the more I liked it. Such a variety of instruments, clever lyrics. Just love the whole thing. Madeline Peroux, prepare for fame.
Release Date September 12, 2006
This cd is delightfully lyrical with songs I enjoy even while reading. Not too intrusive, the music lingers, however, in one's memory. I have played it frequently, sometimes listening to the lyrics and other times, reading.. I heard Ms. Peyroux while shopping in a local health food store. Asked the sales person who the singer was and then I ordered it from Amazon. End of story. Anna Seidler....

Vocal jazz the way it should be - silky, other worldly, transports you to one of your favorite places with people whom you want to be with.

I have all of Madeleine Peyroux's albums. I love her singing style. Her voice soothes. But I like this one the least. Maybe I'll get used to it.
Release Date September 25, 2007
Since most Americans consider themselves only two paychecks from sharing the plight of these people , you would think that the problem would garner more attention from local and state offices. This album makes the homeless real, attaching faces and voices to a reality too often ignored. The music is also very well done.
