I have been searching for this album for 5 years. 5 years ago, I was on Semester at Sea and was spending one of the many long nights at sea (between ports) exchanging music with friends. My friend from Japan gave me several of her favorite Bossa Nova cds, most of them compilations. Of course we didnt have any internet so all the albums that i ripped to my pc said " various artists, track 1 ect.." Well one compilation which is one of my favorites to this day contatined my favorite that I now know is from this album "Saudade Vem Correndo" Wow Maria Toledo's vocals are so... indescribably saudade.

Luiz Bonfa was one of the original creators of Bossa Nova music. This CD is one of his best. His guitar playing was superb and astounding. This music is playable for any occasion, either as background music at parties or music to sit and listen to. I highly recommend it!

I like Manha De Carnaval so much that I listened to Domingo, Nana Mouskouri, Carly Simon and Luis Miguel's versions borrowed from the libraries. I like the original song in track 6 by Luiz Bonfa. Track 8 guitar playing is also beautiful. Track 11 female vocal is wonderful, spontaneous and second to none. The sound quality is excellent.

We received the Baby Cello C.D. as a gift, and my husband and I just love it. The music is truly moving in the most uplifting way, and the songs chosen are just beautiful; not at all stuffy. The true test was when our two-year-old, who had not had a nap all day, got completely wired and still would not go to sleep after 10 p.m. She screamed for 20 minutes as we tried to get her down, until I put Baby Cello on, and the screaming stopped instantaneously! She went to sleep to the C.D. without another wimper! We highly recommend Baby Cello for parents and babies alike, and have bought it for other parents with babies that we know. Brazilian Rhapsody

This is a very nicely produced CD with some Brazilian standards and five unique bossa nova arrangements, Manha De Carvaval, Tristeza, Wave, Avarandado, and Sabia. The sound is unique is that the piano style is highly infuenced with a classical piano flavor. I'm very glad I bought this one.
