Chicken N Beer

I've always been a big fan of Ludacris, but I must say I only like 2 songs on this entire album. My advice is to purchase individual songs on iTunes or wherever. I'd highly recommend Red Light District or Release Therapy if you are looking for an all-around good album.

Word of Mouf

Sophmore release from Atlanta's lyrical acrobatic and character Ludacris with Word Of Wouf. As the introduction "Coming 2 America" delivers a royal platform for the album which becomes apparent in the third verse with his rapid fire delivery. Demanding privacy on "Rollout (My Business)" should be respected over the Timbaland produced track. The song is filled with questions asked by enquiring minds as he answers with rapid fire responses. "Go 2 Sleep" featuring I-20, Lil Fate & Three 6 Mafia has a hard street edge as the chant of the title driven by the violin sequence over the drum kick. Back for the First Time

I may not be big on mainstream albums because I mainly listen to under the radar stuff, but I gotta say, Ludacris is a dope MC. This dude can flow relentlessly over those bouncy beats. His one liners make u laugh so hard it will hurt ya stomach! He can get hard core and hot headed in tracks like "Catch Up" "1st And 10," but he still throws in funny lines like "Did I do dat, or was it Mystikal and Urkel?"!! He even calls himself "Slick D--- the Ruler, women in need!" He can get raunchy like that, but no matter what, his delivery is hilarious!! I luv "Southern Hospality;" I first didn't like it when I heard it in 2000, but I warmed up to it and rocked it constantly. It is fun and bouny over a Neptunes scorcher beat. Okay. Ludacris without a doubt has skills but he sometimes fails to make a good album. His first two were great but Chicken N Beer was horrible and he keeps the madness moving with this album. The Good: the intro wasnt bad plus it leads off into the second single and one of the better cuts on the album, Number One Spot. His first single Get Back was alright although it wasnt a groundbreaking cut its cool(why does that video look like a cheap imitation of Redman's I'll Be Dat?). Child Of The Night featuring Nate Dogg is another notable cut and DJ Quik joins in on the fun on Spur Of the Moment. Pimpin All Over The World is another highlight and will somebody PLEASE tell Honey Mike that he is not funny! Honorable Mention: The Potion. Ludacris Presents Disturbing Tha Peace

Well, I only purchased this simply because of the song "Georgia". I no longer listen to it because I have realized since I have been asking God for direction that he has given in to me. It is music like this that keeps us from having a peace of mind. We picture what we hear and of course with rap it is more graphic because our life usually relates to the music we listen to. I have no reviews for this but do hope that you find God and his purpose for your life if you do decide to listen to an artist who cannot take you to your destiny or hear you in time of need. Save your money or use it to contribute to your wellbeing. God Bless YOu.

This was the self-released first release for Ludacris. As the previous reviewer said, this includes most of the tracks off of Back for the First Time (just like how there's another version of the Slim Shady LP that came out before Dre signed him)... If you have Back For the First time, this is not really worth owning (unless you've got a collector's mentality, but from what I've heard, there's a large number of these discs in circulation at this point and it's not really worth anything...)
