This compilation from LAWRENCE WELK, HIS ORCHESTRA AND CHORUS, is a christmas gem of christmas music. It is without any doubt, one of the best christmas cd's ever released. This release, 22 MERRY CHRISTMAS FAVORITES FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOUR HOUSE, finds itself in my cd player very often over the christmas months of november and december. Christmas wouldn't be the same without it.

The songs all sound as if they were recorded in the same session rather than scattered years. It sounds as if it was a single recorded christmas album from perhaps 1960 or so. I have bought this CD and am listening to it now. There are few kinds of music that is both relaxing yet stimulating and mood enhancing. It just makes me happy!!! I would think that music from heaven itself might be like this! Listen to this CD and you will feel better. I have never agreed with the critics. I have loved his music even when I was a teenager and used to watch this with my family and we all loved it and still do!!! This is great for dining, relaxing at home, driving, vacationing and all around. I would love to see a new weekly television show. If ABC won't do it, then fine go a satellite channel! Christmas Memories

I bought the original 4 record set of this music over 35 years ago! It has been a tradition to play the music while decorating the tree. I made cassette copies for my daughter when she moved away on her own----even to England. She has kept up the tradition to this day. We were concerned about the longevity of cassettes, so were SO anxious to see if this 'wunnerful' music was available on CD. Imagine my extreme thrill to find it on your website!! I ordered this and another CD for her and myself. Now we can be assured of listening to his fantastic music for many years to come. What memories flood back!! No one plays Christmas music like Lawrence Welk! THANK YOU for making this available.

With this cd, I can have "Saturday Night" any time I want, with the best of Lawrence Welk, the hymns, ready for my listening pleasure. We always liked the hymns more than any other part of his program, which was a Saturday night fixture in our home.
If you enjoyed the way the hymns were done on his TV program, then you will want to get this cd right away.

Hey, Pete ain't gettin' any younger -- but he hasn't lost much of his touch -- maybe, like Jerry Rice, a half a step or maybe he just didn't want to be bothered re-doing any of the tracks -- a spot here and there and probably no one but another clarinetist would notice anyway.

Don't let this stop you from getting this CD. Maybe he can't run the patterns quite as sharp down the middle of the field like he used to, but Pete's STILL worth listening to. Happy music is his thing and this CD is just that. Great arrangements, great back-up band -- a perfect setting for Pete and a nice showcase. If you've followed his career at all you'll want this CD.
