The movie was sensational, it seems almost impossible to capture all of it in a soundtrack, but they did a wonderful job of it. Every sngle song captured the spirit of the movie, it was almost like going to a broadway musical because of the quality of this music. Catherine Zeta- Jones did a amaizing job of singing the songs "All That Jazz", "Cell Block Tango", "I cant Do it Alone",and so many more. This music is almost magical, I would recammend this soundtrack for anyone!

Only: Works for Voice and Instruments by Morton Feldman

This disc collects various Morton Feldman works that share the use of a soprano voice or voices. Three are from the 1970s, two from the 1960s, and the whole is framed by two recordings of Feldman's earliest recorded work, the brief unaccompanied 1947 song, Only.

Voice, Violin and Piano, from 1976, is very typical of Feldman's 1970s works, though at five minutes rather shorter than most. Its slow pace and almost Webernian harmonies are gently effective. Vertical Thoughts 3, a 1963 piece for soprano, violin, tuba, percussion and celesta, is even less dynamic. It proceeds at a glacially slow pace for its five minutes, but is curiously haunting.

Elmer Bernstein's musical score to the John McNaughton film "Mad Dog and Glory" is condensed into 5 brief tracks on this soundtrack CD. (The other 2 cuts are classic Louis Prima numbers.) Bernstein's musical flourishes in this film were appropriately subdued, but dense and creepy. This CD captures those qualities, but it's too slight a showcase for what is otherwise a complex and compelling work.
