I bought this CD because my daughter fell in love with the "winnie the pooh song" that I started singing to her some nights - and I wanted her to hear it from someone who is actually able to sing. I love that Too-ra-loo-ra is on this CD as well, another one I croaked out a few nights. But my daughter's new favorite is what she calls the "fievel song" - the mix of the songs from An American Tale and Peter Pan. And I personally fell in love with the rainbow song.

I love this album. I love his honesty about his feelings over the break-up. His conflicting feelings over it - pain, anger, frustration, continuing love for her - are all evident in his choice of tracks. I recently bought the album for a friend of mine who's going through a divorce.

Even though it could do without the duet with Michael McDonald at the end (out of order since it goes from LEAP OF FAITH to MORE SONGS FROM POOH CORNER to THE UNIMAGINABLE LIFE, it is the most complete collection of Loggins' works to date. It would be nice to see a box set of Loggins' works including some of his rareties (eg. his early work with Gator Creek with whom he did the first recorded version of "Danny's Song" with, his session work with Bill Champlin, Pages, Jim Brickman, Everett
Harp, etc.) How's about it Kenny:D)

I bought this b/c I liked the 1st one so well.
I will say I do like the 1st one better, but this is good too. Some of the songs are very sentimental and are a great tribute to the feelings that a parent has for thier kids.
All in all I would buy it again.

After splitting up with Jim Messina. Kenny Loggins was asked to do an unusual chore write a song for A STAR IS BORN with Barbra Streisand. The song was "I Believe in Love" co-written with Alan and Marliyn Bergman and Loggins does his own cover here. While he seems to be emulating Barbra (whose then husband Jon Peters would produce Caddyshack his first real outing into the world of movie music.
The album was co-produced by Bob James who also wrote the title song which recently won acclaim when Ruben Studdard sang it on the season farewell of American Idol. The other tracks are somewhat too jazzy for Loggins, but he was of course exploring new territory.

After recording hit movie songs and hit songs from movies that bombed. Loggins returned to this album which should be considered a classic.
Gone are the synthsized sounds of his earlier work he is venturing towards more traditional sounds (something his good friend Michael McDonald, who also turns up here failed to do in the 1990s.
1. Will of the Wind- Will Ackerman, get it? A good album opener described as "a prayer".
2. Leap of Faith- The title tune which is one of a few songs on this album that was written about his relationship with Julia Cooper who he would marry three years later. Smokey Robinson even makes a cameo!
3. The Real Thing- Written when his daughter was to be christened but then something unexpected happened...
4. Conviction of ... Read More:

The songs & artists are very good for this recording. My son & I dance every night to Bett Midlar's Baby Mine before I put him in his crib. Wonderful songs.
Kenny Loggins has shown bravery with this album. It's clear he was in a transitional stage with his beloved ex having left when he wrote it, and he freely shares his emotions. That takes courage. But HOW ABOUT NOW is not just about that. Kenny shares upbeat tunes you want to dance to, music about hope and moving forward, and his - always - incredible voice. I loved listening to the entire thing, from start to finish. This album is written from the heart, sung by the guy we all love in prime vocal form, an album I would recommend to anyone, not just those recovering from a heartbreak. Just be prepared to feel while you're listening to it.
