this is one of the best greatest hits CD's ever! literally every song on this CD is great, so no wounder its his greatest hits! its really good and i love it!

Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing

LPATWCT is a good CD....I think he should have released a couple more of the songs as singles(FASTER CAR, SHINE or Used to the Pain for example) instead of "reaching back" to "You Look Good in My Shirt" from Golden Road for his current single....I think my favorite CD is BE HERE, but that's probably because it was the beginning of my "Keith Addiction" back in 2005....HE IS ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED PERFORMERS IN MUSIC TODAY (even better than his friend Kenny Chesney in my opinion)...He's one H*LL of a GUITAR PLAYER....Don't let the "Country Music" moniker fool you, he's a ROCK 'N ROLL, SWEAT SLINGIN' GUITAR GOD....If he's going to be near you with Kenny this summer (or even better with his own tour) you'll do yourself a HUGE favor by going to see this ... Greatest Hits (Special Edition CD/DVD)

This greatest hits set based on the collection of tunes is a definite 5 stars.

What keeps it from getting 5 stars is that for some reason, presumably to keep times down and be able to add as many songs as possible, several songs were put on this album in their "Radio Edit" instead of the original album cut.

For many artists, this is a minor issue, but for Keith Urban music, that is simply not the case. The Radio edit of MOST of his music significantly changes that tune.

Thankfully, I have each of his albums, so it's a minor issue for me, but for someone that's getting KU music for the first time, they're really missing out on an incredible song(s).

Golden Road

There are two terrific songs on this CD that I could listen to again and again. Raining on Sunday is a great relationship song about just taking time to be with the one you love instead of letting the real world catch you up and take you away from the most important person in your life. And You'll Think of Me is just a great song about how you still find yourself thinking of people even when they are long gone from your life. Anyway...this entire album is great and worth buying or downloading. Those just happen to be two of the best country (rock-ish) songs with great guitar sections. You won't be disappointed.

It is a long-standing tradition in country music to get big stars to do gospel favorites and classic hymns. The results can often be quite mediocre (uninspired, overly sentimental, sloppy musical arrangements, etc.) or quite good (as with Johnny Cash). Happily, I would mostly put this collection in the latter category. This is largely a better version of the 2004 release, 'Amazing Grace, vol. 3' (also by Sparrow Records), which included six of the songs found on this collection:

I have been a Keith Urban fan for many years and own all of his CD's. I bought this for a friend's birthday. She has been a fan for only a year and this and "The Ranch" are the only CD"s she did not own. Now she has a complete set of 6 and I have 2 complete sets of 6.
