We really enjoy Justin Roberts and have even seen him in concert. It is kid's music I don't mind listening to. My personal favorite is Cartwheels and Somersalts.

I admit it: this is less a review and more of a compulsion to weigh in on the debate, as both a performer of early music and a longtime shapenote singer.

First of all, this is Anonymous 4, and these women are much to polished and professional to do anything less than magnificent. That being said, this is Anonymous 4, and they worked for years on perfecting their sound and in particular the blend of their four voices. They cannot be expected to sound like four random singers at a Sacred Harp convention, where anyone and everyone is welcome. Yellow Bus

I am not kidding when I say Justin Roberts has changed my life. I discovered him when my daughter was still only 1, and now she is 3. I've been listening to Yellow Bus for 2 years now, and she recently joined me in my enjoyment of it. I also have other Justin CDs, but Yellow Bus is always going to be my favorite. As a music lover, I can honestly say that the last 4 songs on this CD are in my top 10 favorite songs period. Please, please, please try this Cd. You will love it as much (or if you are me, more) than the kids.

As a PHANATIC, this double box set is a must-have. I must say that the box is cute, it has the complete libretto (with ALL dialogues)... all inside a little cute box.

I used to have a 80' double K7 set, given by my aunt when she saw the Phantom for the first time back in 90'. The main difference is that those K7 had the COMPLETE DIALOGUES, with NO cuts. And these CDs do not have little dialogues... but it still worths buying.

I first saw this featured in a parents magazine as a gift and sent it to my 8-year-old nephew ... but couldn't resist buying one for my then-infant daughter (i.e., for some musical variety). It's great!

I love the creative words and puns. My daughter (now just 3) still jumps up and gets ready to dance when "Airplane of Food" (first song) comes on ... "Weeeeeeell ... Mama Dear, how'm I gonna feed my brother here? I put on the landing gear but his mouth shu-u-ut!"

Maybe it's not perfect grammar but the songs are truly funny and it's good clean fun for the family! "Doctor, Doctor," "Daycamp" and "I lost the tooth I lost" are also favorites.

Not Naptime

My 3 year old son loves to listen to music but has pretty much been stuck on traditional nursery rhyme albums as well as his Music Together program albums. This music is a welcome change for me, and he seems to really enjoy it. I also bought several copies of this album as his birthday party favor, and the other parents all said that they and their kids loved the album (without my asking).

King Kong: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

While I expected a certain amount of powerful action music--in keeping with the fact that King Kong is an action film--I felt this cd soundtrack focused excessively on action music, and that the touching and beautiful selections in the film's more tender scenes were woefully ignored. They are there, but in what feels to be abbreviated forms, as though the powers behind the cd decided to add them as a brief afterthought. If you found the more sensitive music in the film is what drove you to consider the cd (as I did) then you'll find this cd too abrasive for too long to just enjoy easy listening.
