John Fogerty is one of the greatest talents in American history. I wish he would stick to swamp music and stay out of politics. I feel cheated on my purchase of this CD; if I wanted his opinion on politics I would have called him on the phone.
Release Date April 24, 2001
Great album from the CCR genius. "Big Train from Memphis" and "And I Saw it on TV" are songs that the general public do not know and should know...they paint a great landscape for the US experience.
"Centerfield" makes me want to play baseball even the the February snows. "Rock and Roll Girls" and the "Old Man Down the Road" are just awesome. His best solo album!
Release Date November 01, 2005
This CD set has a great collection of songs and will be enjoyed by CCR fans and people who just like good music. Even if you don't think you like CCR and John Fogerty, you'll like some of the songs in this set.
Release Date November 09, 2004
When it comes to the CCR sound I have all of it and without a doubt this is the best of the bunch. I have loved this CD from the begining. I did not have to listen to it over and over and convence myself the songs were good. I enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish and now 10 years later and after hearing Revival I still think it is by far his best work. Depth and maturity in the songs and vocalls and at the same time that unmistakable CCR sound on every song. If this would have come out in 68 it would have been the biggest seller ever.
Release Date May 02, 1994
What can I say - I loved this music in 1973 and I do so in 2008. It`s a great album and it was a little drop on the stone when C.C.R get split of some time before. Everyone who loves the music from John Fogerty - please buy this record.

"Centerfield" was 'Who'll Stop The Rain' and 'Down On The Corner'. "Eye Of The Zombie" was 'Born On The Bayou' and 'Fortunate Son'. People went for his softer side but turned their back on his harder side after a decade away from the spotlight. Their loss. You cannot enjoy John C. Fogerty for his poetry without also enjoying him for his scathing commentary. A much harder edge to this album compared to his others. Some great songs though. Listen to the title track, 'Change In The Weather' and 'Knocking On Your Door'. What I call Side 2 (I bought this on vinyl in the 1980's)( on CD tracks 6-9) is pretty caustic but still worth a listen. An underrated album.

As Creedence was pretty much the John Fogerty Show, it is nice to see and hear him on a concert tour. It seems that he has retained the same upbeat spirit that has endeared Creedence fans everywhere. After all, there are many 60's retreads out there, like Eric Clapton amd Paul McCartney still going strong, so why not John Fogerty?
Fogerty expertly recreates and reprises many Creedence hits such as the hypnotic Born on the Bayou, the easy Proud Mary, his stirring covers of I Put a Spell On You, and Susie Q,, and simple but energetic rockers like Travelin' Band and Fortunate Son. Singing and guitar playing are in top form here, and the backup band is every bit as compliant as the old Creedence, albeit less thin-sounding. New songs like Centerfield ... Read More:

This is a good Cd...It may not be a favorite, but it has several catchy down home style songs in the CCR tradition...it is a bit of a breakaway cd from Fogarty usual, but he is older and obviously, is moving on, like most people do. Do not look for deep lyrics because this is not Fogerty...He keeps it in a simple, front porch, style

Its just amazing that we are in the year 2008 and John Fogerty is still putting out fantastic music. Th new release, Revival sounds strong on the brief listens that I have given to date. However, the live recording The Long Road Home is just phenomenal.
There is an excellent mix of classic Creedence tunes and solo material. John varies the arrangements slightly from song to song. Some tunes are shortened some are lengthened. An all acoustic De Ja Vu All Over Again is very touching. I love the bouncy delightful Looking Out My Backdoor especially when substitutes tangerines and Elvis are singing with the band on the second bridge. I especially enjoy the banter John does between songs. It gives the CD a very intimate feel.

I recently purchased used cassete specifically for saw it on tv. it made me reflect on his masterful subserviseness and his diversionary tactics used to slip his contraversial material past would be censors in the ccr days. But being overly obsessive about lyrical meaning, I would appreciate any feedback on a couple of lines in the song. Is he sort of calling Ike a hypocrite pertainiing beware the... comments with the big black limousine phrase. And also, I don't quite get the chained my mind to an endless tomb and took my only son from me. And the "cover" was it a specific incident? He was way ahead of the curve in the "American Dream" motif as anyoune who listens to alt country knows is probably the main theme of the genre.
