I'll admit it: I was coerced into participating in a local production of Titanic The Musical recently and while I never had, nor do I have any desires to perform on stage, I almost reluctantly fell in love with this incredibly moving story that involves an absolutely amazing musical score. I played Benjamin Guggenheim, who along with some of the most famous millionaires in the world (John Jacob Astor, George Widener and the Thayers, literally the Bill Gates and Donald Trumps of their day) died as the Largest Moving Object on the earth slipped beneath the waves, April 15th 1912.

Beyond Imagination

I have enjoyed this CD from the first time I heard a copy I had borrowed from our city library. I have heard both pro's and con's concerning the singing capability of these two ladies. Personally I have enjoyed this CD for many many hours and I cannot wait (actually I will have to) to get the next CD (used).

This Cd has been one of my favorites for years. My father has the LP of War of the Worlds and so I grew up listen to it. There are great artist who worked on it, one of them being Justin Hayward from the Moody Blues. Richard Burton does a wonderful job as the main character as he tells you one of the most famous martian invasion stories of all time. Jeff Wayne adds great music to the story. It is a great buy.

My husband has been looking for this ALBUM for a very long time. When I found it on line at Amazon I immediately ordered two copies. One for my husband and one for my son.. They couldn't have been happier and are still raving about the set.

Tom Sawyer (1973 Movie Soundtrack)

Varese Records usually has some pretty classy releases, this is NOT one of them. After waiting years for these soundtracks to be released, we have been treated to sub-standard transfers and missing tracks. Especially annoying is the "Huckleberry Finn" soundtrack; a missing overture and an almost unlistenable transfer. This is actually an insult to injury being as the DVD transfer has "Been formatted to fit your TV" (no widescreen!). Although, the sound is much better on the DVD than on the CD. Unfortunately, this is all we get, that is why I gave this 3 stars instead of 2. By the way, one of the other reviews states that all the lyrics are contained in the booklet, this is not true, only the "Tom Sawyer" lyrics are printed. What a mess!

A good musical, yet not the greatest by Lloyd Webber. Actually, the song "Memory" is the only one in our memories. The rest seems to me quite average. We should have in mind that a few years later Webber wrote wonderful songs for each one of his musicals: PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, SUNSET BOULEVARD and the unfortunate WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND, besides his previous masterpiece, JESUSCHRIST SUPERSTAR, with almost an entire collection of classical and marvelous songs. I saw CATS in Broadway back in 1992 and I saw it again last year here in Chile: I guess some cats were left on the plane on their way down here because the southamerican tour production looked quite poor compared to the Broadway version.
