I defy anyone to listen to the cast CD of "In the Heights" and sit still. It is the most intoxicating score that has come from Broadway in years. Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the score and is the leading man and has contributed more energy and exuberance that translates in the recording. The score won the Tony for 2007 and deservedly so. Put on your dancing shows and go!

Her "All for you" cd is her best work by far. I have to get a new cd because I played it death. Her latest one is nice but not a big hitter with me. She could do much better, and hope that she does.

This one will be at CD Warehouse too, I love Janet and I thought I would love this one, but I couldn't even make it all the way through, I tried skipping through it but they all seemed to start off with the same beat. Maybe it's just not riding music, so I'll try it as clean-up music before I sell it.

The timing for "The Velvet Rope" must have been excellent. Released in the fall of 1997, Janet's album got a favorable review in Time magazine and over the years it developed a cult status among her fans, but also many casual listeners fell in love with it. The question remains: Why?

On the surface an antidote to the happy and loose blockbuster "janet." album of 1993, this is a darker, brooding, personal and sexually charged CD. However, this alone does not necessarily make for great music.

I would say that this album is alot better than Damita Jo, but I don't really consider this album her best but it has some good dance tracks that are worth listening to.


1. So Excited-i think she should have released this as her first single. it's much better. 5/5

I have always loved Janet Jackson's masterpiece of an album, Janet, but had gradually lost interest due to overplaying it. However, this remix album has not only renewed my interest in the original, but has also brought many of these classic songs into a new light. This is more of a complete reimagining of the songs from Janet, rather than a simple remix effort. "Throb" features a sexy new sax part that continues in an amazing solo after the fade of the rest of the song (and it clocks in at a thrilling 9+ minutes). Overall, this is well worth the money and is a CD that you will enjoy for years to come.

I love this cd. I need another one to replace this one. The ulitmate song for me is "Someone to call my lover." I don't know what's going on with her lately, but I hope she get back in touch with her origin roots soon to put out more addicting cd's like this one..
