Filled with soothing and relaxing tunes. He will always be in my top ten of singer-songwriters...with his beautiful voice. However, there is a sameness to his music....one of the reasons I follow a new emerging SS Arrica Rose who truly takes risks in her latest album, La La Lost with a variety a musical styles...lyrics that are quirky but with depth and insight...each song... more powerful than the other.

Great album, exactly what I expected to hear based on the other JJ albums I have. Great music for all age groups, very pure and full of heart-uplifting.

The fact that this guy would probably be a hit with John Mayer fans is a blow to this guy, since John Mayer is easily one of the worst hacks making music (no, muzak) today. I was hinted to call this guy a slightly more interesting John Mayer with an acoustic guitar. Sure, it's not deep music, it won't start anything, but it's breezy, chill music (not muzak, thank god). It's definitely worth getting.

The sound of Jack Johnson is a good one, it will definitely relax you. It's a very chill album, but it's soothing and makes you feel good, than rather making you feel drowsy, bored, and wanting to rip your hair out. The Jack's smooth voice and his music, simple and pleasant, can be addictive. In fact, I bought all the other Jack's albums after hear this vinyl. It's a very good album, it isn't pretentious and that is indeed what attracts. Everyone needs Jack after a hard work day.

Thicker Than Water

I bought this disc in the hope that it would feature more of Jack Johnson's solo work. I was disappointed. The music is ok, but it is many different artists. It IS a soundtrack however, so I should not have been surprised. The music is not bad and is generally in keeping with the tone of most of Mr. Johnson's style. If you want more Jack Johnson, though, stick with his other discs.
