This CD was AMAZING! It may not be the best Beatles album (Help! and Rubber Soul are, in my opinion), but it's The Beatles, so of course, you gotta love it! 5/5 stars!

All Things Must Pass [DIGI-PAK EDITION was Harrison's first solo album after the Beatles broke up 1970 and it is a dandy of a record. One wonders why so little of Harrison's tallent was used during his days with the Beatles. Harrison was a surprisingly adept lyricist and a much better vocalist then I was aware of. Yes, the book-let is a strange one. Harrison in purple boots, big brown hat surrounded by gnomes. Harrison has also written a very well-written and thought worthy essay regarding the recording. I love the photographs and one can see that he was a very pensive and cerebral man. This is a recording not to be missed.

It makes you question why more Harrison songs weren't featured on the Beatles albums. My favorit solo Beatle artist by far! This album is amazing and I highly recomend it.

This 1971 album was the first of the all-star benefit albums. And arguably the best. In a nut shell, George Harrison, fresh off his success with "All Things Must Pass" raised his profile even further when he joined with Indian sitar master Ravi Shankar for 2 benefit shows at Madison Square Garden. At the time, Bangladesh was ½ a world away and largely unknown and forgotten by Americans and the rest of the world for that matter. Plus it had been born out of a war between religions and torn apart even further by devastating floods. George's idea was simple; gather as many musician friends as he could for a concert and maybe raise some money to aid the citizens of the emerging nation of Bangladesh. But even with his high profile, George was uncertain the shows would ... Read More:

One of the best CDs I have. This CD reminds me of the morning prayer chants at my Boarding school in Rajghat.I never wanted to sing it when I was young. Now,I absolutely love it."Om poornamidah.." is my favourite.
Release Date February 24, 2004
Cloud Nine is a likeable album that's also slightly melancholic. The music is professionally-constructed adult pop that would sound great on a long car journey, and I have no doubt that George Harrison was thrilled with it, and that the album was exactly what he wanted. It's much poppier and less pretentious than Harrison's earlier work, and slightly less interesting because of it. There's absolutely nothing about Krishna consciousness, and he doesn't try to sing about the human condition, or the problems that face the world; the album is a collection of vague love songs, with the exception of "When We Was Fab", which is a parody of The Rutles.
Way back in the 1970s Harrison was often criticised for sticking to a formula. His songs tended to have gloomy minor ... Read More:

I had this original album. There will never be another guy like him. Nobody does anything like him or probably ever will again. He is sorely missed. This is timeless stuff & from the Golden Era.

Though the 1976 hit "This Song" is nowhere to be found, "Best of Dark Horse" features most of the essential singles and album cuts from George Harrison's later period. The 1989 tracks are particularly strong, with "Cheer Down" and "Poor Little Girl" ranking among the Quiet Beatle's finest work. "Crackerbox Palace," "Blow Away," "Love Comes to Everyone," "All Those Years Ago" and "When We Was Fab" remain classic Harrisongs. The overlooked gem is 1982's "Wake Up My Love," which should have placed higher than No. 53 on the U.S. charts. "Best of Dark Horse" has long been out of print, yet Harrison deserves an expansive 1970-2001 compilation.
