Tough All Over

I enjoyed this cd and felt that Gary Allan's voice worked well with the material on this cd. "Tough All Over" reeks of the pain and devastation one feels when the love of their life leaves them; he sings with a conviction that feels true, but not over done. This is how hard-rock country should be done; authentic and tough, real and raw. Gary lets us into his pain in ways that few artists do. My favorite songs are "Life Ain't Always Beautiful" and "Best I Ever Had."

I still have a couple more Gary Allan CDs to buy, and my collection will be complete. His voice is easy to listen to.. When I want to FEEL the emotion of the music, I put on any one of my Gary Allan CDs, and this one pleased me as much as the rest. I'm honored to be a fan. But it doesn't take a fan to hear that Gary Allan sings with his heart, touching those who listen with theirs.

I love Allan's voice, which has a decidedly Western accent, and the edge he puts onto his songs about relationships. Couple of good honky-tonk tunes can be found on this one too. This CD is on my top-ten list for country albums. Hard these days to find a CD where every track is worth listening to and I'm sure it will remain one of my favorites for many years to come.
