1983by: Flying Lotus Release Date October 03, 2006 With its psychedelic staggered world beats weaving in and out of fuzzy, ambient Super Mario bleeps and boops, 1983 sends the listener through what could be described as a funky underwater hip-hop acid trip. Perfect for cranking up the volume while driving at night, background music at a huge party, or just for listening to alone in your bedroom with a couple bowls, 1983 is one of those albums you keep on coming back to for more because its just so damn fun. Flying Lotus came out of nowhere in 2006 with this release and has quickly become one of my favorite artists, and if you appreciate electronica/idm, ambient, trip-hop or just good music in general, buy this album. Reset EPby: Flying Lotus Release Date October 02, 2007 This EP is better than Lotus's two LP's,(1983 and Los Angeles) both are solid records thou. You get the most bang for your buck here. Not a bad song in the bunch. (Tea leaf dancers)is by far his best song to date. You can't stop your head from bop'n on that one. He has a heavy sound to his Hip-Hop, some times to heavy for me. If you like Madlib you will prob'ly like fling lotus. |
