The Nightmare Before Christmas basically defines Halloween, what better way to have Halloween with you always then this CD? Load onto your iPod and it's good to go. The 3D cover art is really cool along with both CD's. The first CD is the original soundtrack and it's pretty much amazing. From The Overture to The End Title all the music is fantastic and clear as crystal. The second CD is remixes and demos. Most of the remixes are really cool. The only two I don't like are Sally's Song by Fiona Apple and Kidnap The Sandy Klaws by She Wants Revenge. I prefer Catherine O'Hara's version of Sally's Song and Kidnap The Sandy Klaws sounds way better when the cast sings it. All in all a great CD from a great movie. If your a fan of the movie, don't miss ... Read More:

I just love this album...beautiful, intense and powerful. My newest favorite is Arrica's new album,La La Lost. Check her out if you like Fiona.
Release Date October 04, 2005
Fiona returns, and she is on fire. A quite impressive album, though it falls a hair short of achieving the brilliance of 'When The Pawn...' I prefer this over 'Tidal' which in itself is pretty spectacular as well.
Release Date November 09, 1999
This is the second time that I've purchased this album...I bought it the day that it was released back in 1999, and I finally wore that copy out a few weeks ago. While I love everything Fiona Apple puts out, this remains both my favorite CD of hers and of all time. This is one of those rare albums where every single song is amazing, and you can listen to it without having to touch your "skip track" button. While "Fast As You Can" was the biggest hit as a single, songs like "A Mistake" and "To Your Love" can only be described as Beatles-esque. "The Way Things Are," "Get Gone," and "I'll Know" are some of the (if not the) most insightful and thoughtful songs about being in an unsatisfying relationship that I've ever heard. Fiona weaves charming plays ... Read More:

Musically pretty. Fiona has been experimenting with her own music, creating new sensations and illusions; this is just a step further.
Release Date October 13, 1998
Nice selection of music from a charmingly entertaining, idiosyncratic movie. Aside from an eclectic selection of golden oldies the film also showcases the talents of a kittenish Reese Witherspoon and an earnest, albeit nerdy, Toby Maguire. Even an aged Don Knotts makes an appearance as the clairvoyant television repairman who provides access through the looking glass into "Pleasantville." It's reassuring to know that even in an alternate universe the music is this good.

Forget the reviews you've been reading about this CD being too pricey. At $10.99, its a STEAL! My favorite track on 'When the Pawn' is 'Paper Bag', and she had the good sense to release it as a single. It has a jazzy feel to it, and is by far the most accomplished ballad she has sung until now.
What makes this particular CD stand out is that it contains the videos for 'Limp' and 'Fast as you can'. Both of these are excellent, and a real treat. Fiona's presence on video is unbelievable and simply mesmerising. But above it all, the music stands out. This is an essential recording by any standards, and a necessary addition to your Fiona Apple collection. Highly recommended.
