The breakthrough album and zeneth of Fatboy Slim's Career. Tracks that integrated within all that was pop culture during the late 90's. From Adidas advertisements to the opening credits of clubber's cult classic, Human Traffic. Fatboy Slim was it...for a short but sweet time that rounded off the 20th century. He blew the sand off of Brighton Beach, and turned down Madonna when she asked him to collaborate on an album with her. Nice.

Some tracks are annoying, but I still have three or four tracks that I listen to fairly regularly. Reading all these reviews, you've got a whole buncha people bashing on this CD because it's a dance album. Well, to all you that don't know Norman Cook, AKA Fatboy Slim is in fact a dance artist who produces dance music, don't go into this album expecting anything different. Mr. Cook is a genious and his singles time & time again are proven not only to be sucessful, but also timeless(aside from the tracks that the top 40 radio DJs get ahold of and cram down our throats a zillion times until we never wanna hear 'em again... Thanks for that by the way, you're doing the world a great service). As far as not understanding "Star 69",; what is there to understand. LateNightTales

This is one of the best compilations to come out of the Late Night Series. What a fellow reviewer failed to realize prior to purchasing this cd was that the Late Night Tales/Another Late Night series are compilation albums of work done by other artists, with an occasional track or two from the featured artist compiling the album, nothing more, nothing less. They are not original work, but a series of songs put together by the artist that he/she finds influencial, or simply finds groovy. However, that is by no means a bad thing. These Late Night Tales albums are some of the best "mixed tapes" I have ever had the pleasure to listen.

As Seen on TV: Songs from Commercials

The Volkswagon commercial sparked the search. This CD has a variety of artists but is by far the best compilation CD I have ever bought. Most songs are fast paced and up beat. Overall it is a good listen.

Fatboy Slim/Norman Cook Collection

I had to write something after I saw a couple bad reviews here from people who obviously identify Cook/Fatboy with a very narrow genre, but if you like this artist not for some genre he fits into, but for his endless creativity and the fun he jams into his funk, BUY THIS CD. I can see how some people can't handle everything going on here, from a tribute to original reggae dubmaster King Tubby, to funkmaster James Brown, to "roll the dice" a precursor to the acid beats of "better living thru chemistry", to obscure 60's French synth-rock of Jean Jacques Perry, to Steve Miller (!)... Cook makes it all work and he makes it all his own.

On the Floor at the Boutique

WOW!! This was my first Fatboy CD. I had never even heard of him before buying. I was bored musically and looking for something new, different, and good. Talk about a bullseye.
I consider 'Boutique', to be one of the best CD's I've ever bought. Seamless music melding with infectious beats and glorious upbeat tempo make this a fantastic party album. Buy it, borrow it, download it, whatever it takes to experience this Fatboy masterpiece

Big Beach Boutique II

I do not regret buying this CD, but I like the DVD much better. Buy the DVD and copy the audio to your computer. The DVD performance is 88 minutes of music and is Fatboy Slim in action. The CD is a mix of songs that were used on the DVD and are not even mixed in the same way or order as the DVD, so don't listen to this CD and say that Fatboy Slim is a bad DJ, because this CD has little to do with Fatboy Slim's performance, which I am quite impressed with.

If you end up liking the DVD, buy the CD to get Crazy Talk and Let The Drums Speak, which are not on the DVD. The 1st 5 tracks on the CD are from the Midfield General's set. They are also not on the DVD. The DVD is strictly Fatboy Slim's performance.
