This is my favorite of all of Fall Out Boy's music. The songs are great, and I just love it. I've loved it for about 3 years, and it isn't dying off, so that says something, huh? I got it after "From under the cork tree" came out, and I was not disappointed.
Release Date February 06, 2007
I liked about 2/3 of this album. I think "This Ain't A Scene" is a joke, just a reason to say "G** D***" as much as Panic did in "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." And I make the traditional mention of song title length...which has no effect on my opinion whatsoever, it's just tradition. The lyrics are very catchy and most of the songs have great sing-a-long quality. I think Fallout Boy paid too much attention to the critic heat and lost a bit of the flare they had on The Cork Tree. But this album will not be forgotten. Standout for me is "Hum Hallelujah"

To say that I was surprised by this album is a drastic understatement. While I am guilty of having a preconceived notion of what this band is all about, I can definitely say now that this stuff is light years ahead of the type of garbage put out by bands like Good Charlotte and Panic! At The Disco. The album is full of hidden gems (Our Lawyer..., 7 Minutes in Heaven, Sophmore Slump...) as well as the hits you'll hear on the radio (Sugar, W're Going Down, Dance Dance, A Little More...). In fact, there really isn't a bad song on here. From start to finish, you'll be hit with catchy guitar rifs, great choruses, and so forth. What also works really well is the sequence in which the songs are slotted, giving the whole listening experience great ... Read More:

I just purchased FOB's new live album today, and after the first listen and watching the DVD, I have to say that they cannot pull off their material live. Vocals were consistently out of tune, and as the show was energetic, it lacked musically. As a concertgoer I want to hear how the songs sound on the records, and well, Fall Out Boy cannot quite grasp the musical level in live performance. Are they just a studio band?
Also the crowd on the DVD was lackluster. I've seen more lively reactions at a Celine Dion concert (sarcasam mode turned off).
Poor production, and a sloppy live performance give this album 2 stars from me.
I think I'll just stick to listening to the studio records.

This album opened my eyes to how great acoustic versions are. I am a true music fan; i enjoy death metal, as well as classical. I LIKE JAZZ FUSION!!!!!! Anyways, I was blown away by the version of Nobody Puts Baby in Corner on this album. Its easily one of my favourite songs of all time. It really just makes the song much more sincere and it just puts me in a very relaxed mood when i hear it. I would recommend this entire CD to absolutely ANYONE that enjoys music at all, as it is a must-have for anyone's music collection.
On the topic of acoustic VERSIONS, this album made me look for more acoustic versions of things: In Utero by Nirvana (MTV Unplugged) is absolutely incredible. One of my favourites of all time. Another song that all people that enjoy ... Read More:

I love Fall Out Boy, they're my favorite band, but it's an EP, so I can't find it in myself to love it much. I like good sound quality, and good music quality, and it didn't really have either. Good songs though, they do grow on you.

Well not sure about this copy but the normal release of this album rocks. Very well produced, well written songs. Really not a big fan of the other albums they did but this one is a winner. I am a big fan of pop rock, POD, Nickelback, Papa Roach, Cold, Evenescense, Flyleaf etc.. Out of the 40 gigs of music on my Ipod this album gets the most play.
So don't believe the first old rocker that posted his opinion. This album is great.
