I love the bluegrass type songs on here, especially Early One Morning. Love A Bold Young Farmer. Somewhere gives me shivers. Every time a new CD comes out, I think, well they just can't find any more recordings. Luckily, I'm wrong. A must for any Eva fan.

Live at Blues Alley

"Live at Blues Alley" is a nice blues CD. Even the moaning and groaning that is done in blues songs sounds good, because it's done by Eva Cassidy, who has a rich, sweet voice.

The quality of the CD is good. It was recorded live, but there are no extraneous sounds, other than applause.

Time After Time

I have always listened attentively whenever a selection by this very talented musican came over the radio; however, it wasn't until I heard Cassidy's redition of Paul Simon's "Kathy's Song" on a folk music station that I finally bought a the CD that included that song. Cassidy's interpretation of a wide range of genres on this CD---from Irish folk ballad to pop to blues---is truly phenomenal and her delivery of all of them is as smooth as silk. That cancer took her young life is truly tragic, but her memory and angelic voice lives on in these beautiful songs.

American Tune

Eva Cassidy is one of those people who managed to get discovered for great talent even without the help of American Idol. And I am so glad, because her voice remained so true, clear and wonderful that she produced this and a number of other really wonderful albums before her untimely death.

She has the kind of voice that makes you realize that only a very select few of singers really (no, really) can sing. These are all covers, and just simply wonderful, unique, beautiful, fantastic music.

I listen to her albums when I want something smooth, something sweet, something unique, and something great. It's not "easy listening", or "oldies"; it's great music redone in a new and uniquely fresh way.

Imagine

Eva Cassidy may be the best the world has ever known for the type of singing she did. "What a wonderful world" and "Over the rainbow" are two songs that I could listen to her sing everyday and never get tired of them or her. She is not your average everyday girl with a guitar. Eva by Heart

Ever since David Archuleta mentioned her name on The View I have been enjoying this angel's songs. She had such a beautiful voice and was really just beginning to realize her talent when she passed from her earthly body. I now own 5 of her CDs and my favorite songs include True Colors, I Know You By Heart, Time Is a Healer, and How Can I Keep From Singing. The quality on most of the albums is very good and it amazes me that some of the recordings were completed after her death using rough recordings and making them so beautiful. Thank You David for introducing me to Eva.

The Other Side

I only recently learned about Eva Cassidy through a new young artist, David Archuleta. He has said many times that her musical talent (both lyrically and vocally) has inspired him. I listened to samples and purchased a couple albums but I must have more, her voice in soothing, beautiful, inspiring and so much more. I will never grow tired of her songs but I want new songs. Maybe in heaven!!
