I am a new fan to this old band and the music is timeless. Because they are from Georgia and never received national air play, at least not in my home town of Dallas Tx. I never heard of them until I moved to Atlanta. Every track is good and great to jam while on the road or chill to around the house.

Drivin' n' Cryin' is a hard rock country-alt
type band. Every album is different but great.
This is best hard rock album of the 90's that
nobody ever talks about. Songs like the title
track Fly me, The Innocent, Build a fire are
classic rock songs and should be played on
every station. It's ashame these guys never
got their due but they seem to be like the
Ramones, Thin Lizzy, Motorhead and other real
rock bands that have dedicated fans. This CD is
always one of my favorites even today! BUY IT!

The Essential Live

This live album captures most of what dnc is about. Mixing heavy rock with folk/country numbers, like a weird mix of the Dictators and John Denver, Kevn Kinney and his bandmates rip through nearly 20 of their greatest hits, warts and all. The band, with help from Joey Huffman on organ and David Franklin on guitar, is typically rough and spontaneous, delivering blistering versions of classics such as "The Innocent," "Build a Fire," "Straight to Hell" and the great unreleased song "Dirty Angels." The only weakness derives from the track list, which evinces the band's intention in making this a "greatest hits" affair. Wrapped in Sky

I am a big fan of DNC and I've listened to all their material. This album was a let down to me. The 'Fly Me Courageous' album was great. It rocked hard but it still found them rooted to their influences: bluegrass, country, blues, pschydelia. However, some of the earlier fans felt betrayed thinking the band was going to sell out to arena rock. I don't believe they sold out because the the next album 'Smoke' was less commercial but a continuation of this brilliant sound they were developing. I think they were experimenting musically and trying to reach a broader audience. The Smoke album is a beautiful piece of work. From the packaging to the music, it is a haunting look at lost Americana. I looked foward to the next album, 'Wrapped In Sky', but I was dissapointed ... Read More:

I don't really cry when I drive but this CD is fantastic. They have a very unique sound which is why they stand out to me. I purchased all of DnC's CDs and really enjoy all of them.

DNC is great rock music. I don't know how you would really classify them as they are not metal or hard rock. They just rock and have a unique sound.

Whisper Tames the Lion

DNC is a band I can listen to at any time and I really enjoy their brand of unique rock. I used to only know about FLY ME COURAGEOUS until I started looking for more and found several other CDs that are great, as well.
