When I first saw this movie I was 9. It was so incredible. Now I'm 19 and the movie is still my number 1. I watch it all the time. I only recently bought the soundtrack, but I love it so much! Its beautiful and enchanting. My favorite songs are "In the Dark of the Night" and "A Rumor in St. Petersburg". Absolutely fantastic. 5 stars.

King Kong: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

While I expected a certain amount of powerful action music--in keeping with the fact that King Kong is an action film--I felt this cd soundtrack focused excessively on action music, and that the touching and beautiful selections in the film's more tender scenes were woefully ignored. They are there, but in what feels to be abbreviated forms, as though the powers behind the cd decided to add them as a brief afterthought. If you found the more sensitive music in the film is what drove you to consider the cd (as I did) then you'll find this cd too abrasive for too long to just enjoy easy listening. The quality of the musical compositions is not lacking--it's good action music--but this is not a cd comfortable to listen to for long periods. ... Read More:

Donna Lewis... I first heard her 90s hit "I Will Always Love You Forever" and rolled my eyes, but... I never turned the station. What a hook, and what a voice.

It was ten years later that I bought the full CD, and while I thought half was just so-so, I still like the other half.

I then bought "Blue Planet." I think this is her best CD as most of the CD is great.

And now she is In the Pink... her best CD. I copied "Shutting Out the sun" in summer 2007 off of myspace, and listened into the fall.

So, Donna Lewis has two best CDs. How many musicians can say that?

im not kidding.. im currently 19 and remember this album coming out as a kid. its my FAVORITE album of all time.. this is NOT an exaggeration. Maybe i'm crazy but i do NOT care! A big fan of her other three albums as well, Blue Planet, Be Still, and In The Pink. This album made me a huge collector of her work as well as for the deleted tracks for all her albums.. I am a MAJOR fan because of this album.. get it.. the experience is BREATH TAKING!

Blue Planet

Being a big fan of Now In a Minute, I had to get this album. It wasn't quite what I expected, which looking back is perhaps a good thing. Donna Lewis doesn't adhere to traditional pop music paradigms; she has her own style, and it's something that I think most people wouldn't open up to immediately. That being said, my first impression was "super-cheese" - this can be applied to a few songs on the album. But the more you listen to it, the more attached you become - and you may realize that some of these songs are actually gems. I still can't get over Love Him, but the rest of the album is really good. Try it if you're looking for something a bit different, and keep an open mind. And my favorite song? Blue Planet, of course.

At the Beginning

I was suspicious of this product because it wasn't exactly clear in the description. But it is the original demo and soundtrack for the theme song of Anastasia. The case was a little worn, but the CD plays excellently. It will be the perfect accompaniment at a wedding we will sing in September.

I Love You Always Forever

England-born singer-songwriter Donna Lewis probably had no idea how huge of an impact on international radio her diddy "I Love You Always Forever" would end up having in 1996. Released as the first single off her debut album Now in a Minute (a worthy purchase in itself), the atmospheric, dreamy and synth-loving track topped charts around the globe--and deservedly so. Not only is it soothing to listen to melodically, lyrically (it was inspired by an H.E. Bates novel) it's beautiful and poetic. Though Lewis would have some equally likable hits like "Without Love," "Love & Affection," "I Could Be the One," "Love Him" and "Falling," none could compare 100% to "I Love You Always Forever." Lovely, simply lovely.

The Dreaded P.D.Q. Bach

This is a fine collection of the work of the "oddest of Bach's 20-odd children." The intros and commentary by Professor Peter Schickele (University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople) are as sidesplitting as the "music" itself. One learns, for example, that PDQ Bach is the only composer to have written for double reeds -- without the use of oboes or bassoons. . . . Just four of the high(low)lights on this 4-disc set include: "Concerto for Horn and Hardart," "Iphigenia in Brooklyn," "Unbegun Symphony," and "Pervertimento for Bagpipes, Bicycle, and Balloons." The PDQ Bach corpus is (fortunately) not exhausted with this box set, so there will likely be others, but this one is terrific and will provide hours of strange and wonderful enjoyment.

A Bag Of Popcorn & A Dream (1998 Concept Cast)

I stumbled upon this CD and just had to take a chance on it. Almost every cut is very, very good! Excellent overall is how I can best describe it. A very nice surprise. If you like older show tunes done in the style of big theatre - this one is for you. Lots of fun and very enjoyable listening. No disappointment here!
