This CD is a fantastic retrospect of Diana's career. It has all her big hits as a solo artist and a few other lesser known tracks to make a complete package. A must have for any Diana Ross fan. And anyone, in general, who appreciates good music, good lyrics and an amazing voice!

This album includes all of the Supremes biggest and best hits and then some. Everything from When The Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes to the final Someday Well Be Together. This is an album where I can listen straight through without any stops. The only thing that I was disappointed in is the sound quality of the songs. With all the digital master machines they have today, I would hope they would be able to have better sound quality than this. The vinyl copy of my Supremes albums sound better than this. But as for the songs, they are fantastic. Baby Love,Where Did Our Love Go?,Come See About Me,The Happening,etc...they all are here. I recommend this album to you. Enjoy!!

Diana Ross has such a nice voice, this is such a treat to listen to. Brings back memories. This cd is a definite 4 star for me. It's been interesting reading the other comments. Many compare this with the duets Marvin Gaye did with other women. That reaaly doesn't apply here for Diana Ross's voice is very different and very pure.

Many also seem to think he definitely outsings her. I must admit that I am not a huge Marvin Gaye fan but I find that both are showcased well with this collection. YOU'RE A SPECIAL PART OF ME and MY MISTAKE are the big hits and strongest cuts but there is not a song here I dislike. I find it to be a very eclectic collection and put it on repeat in my cd player. i'm a long-term dina ross fan & just the discovery of un-released material "tweeks" my ear-drums. however i must say that if you don't care for her enormous talent@ all then you wouldn't like blue which is a nice testament to her adaptations of jazz standards from the sizzling seventies!!!!!

Following on from the dreary, mish-mash affair of the Gold-selling Silk Electric (1982) album, soul diva Diana Ross returned to the recording studios with producers Gary Katz and Ray Parker Jnr for her third studio project for RCA/Capitol Records. What resulted was easily her worst album for the label (and infact her entire career!).

Ross (1983) opens with, at the most, mediocre, That's How You Start Over, written by Michael McDonald, Ed Stanford and produced by Gary Katz. That's How You Start Over begins with a wonderful piano interlude that leads you to believe the track is going to pump out into a jamming, soulful affair. What an amazing cd. Disco had its time and there was some quality music and some that was very subpar. Diana Ross shined with disco and did some of her best work. I was going to the clubs when this album was released and anyone from that time period knows how awesome it was when THE BOSS started playing. That song made the crowds go wild. It was a disco anthem and a true classic.

But this whole cd shines. NO ONE GETS THE PRIZE and I AIN'T BEEN LICKED are also both amazing. ALL FOR ONE and I'M IN THE WORLD are also awesome. Seriously, you can't go wrong with this cd.
