Decompoze - Decomposition: I'd never heard the album just knew the Binary Star stuff. This is one of those gems. Decompoze is the best underground Hip Hop I've heard to date. Production is good quality and his flows are conscious, wicked feature artists. You'll be into the album off one listen. True Hip Hop at its finest.

And this album is more than deserving of 4 stars, not just because it's a Subterreneous product with much Binary Star infleunce. Decompoze, mostly an MC producer, clearly represents the lyrical intellect and genuity that helped Binary Star achieve critical acclaim. And I love this album because One Be Lo has his footprints all over it.
The only disappointment in this album lies with songs like "Decomposition", "Same Song" and "React" that have great production but are only used as intros or interludes, not being utilized to their full potential. The soft and mellow jazz melodies emblematizes the Subterrenous-esque production of this album; it's very relaxing! A good number of songs discuss his love life like "Mica (Phone Check)", ... For the uninitiated, Binary Star (One Many Army [aka. One Be Lo], Senim Silla & Decompoze) released the album "Waterworld" back in 1999, and was later remixed and re-released in 2000 under the name "Masters Of The Universe". The album received high praise from critics and fans alike, and is rightly considered a classic. Not until 2005 would One Be Lo drop his breathtaking debut "S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.". Now in 2007, were are treated with Senim Silla's solo debut "The Name, The Motto, The Outcome" (classic!), Decompoze's "Decomposition" and the follow-up to One Be Lo's debut to be released later this year. Now on to Decompoze...
On the Binary Star LP, 2 of my favorite joints were "Fellowship" and "Indy 500" (also seen here as the last track). ... Read More:

One of the Best producers to touch the Mic. He is a producer in the Trakezoid's, along with one of the All time greats, OneBeLo. Decompoze, while first being a producer, is not at all a producer who shouldn't rock the mic. He most definitely is better than a lot of Mc's out there who don't do produce. If you are a fan of early subterraneous music like OneBeLo's albums, Binary Star, or the Waterworld albums, you already know who Decompoze is and were awaiting this. Go buy it and support hip-hop, you won't be disappointed.
