This CD/DVD combo has tons of good stuff for the price of a regular CD. These are some of my favorite features:
-the whole concert in 5.1 surround
-the set list for this show is a great combination of songs from their last few CDs.
-the behind the scenes and "learn the songs" features are awesome for any musician. They all go into extraordinary detail on their setups, right down to walking through each pedal on their pedalboards! (for the guitarists). It's also great to find out about the more unusual instruments they have going on (i.e., toy robot, guitar hero controller, keytar, toy piano, etc.). Even for non-musicians, it gives you a great insight and appreciation for the music they make.

Funny, but maybe it takes time for each DC*B release to become my favorite as I didn't love "A Collision" compared to "Illuminate" and I don't love "Remedy" compared to "A Collision", yet. Certainly some songs standout on "Remedy" like "Never Let Go", "Surely We Can Change", "Can You Feel It", "The Glory Of It All" and "Everything Glorious". Another gem by DC*B. I'm guessing in another few months this will be my favorite.

I bought this CD to get the Amazing Grace/My Chains are Gone song by Chris Tomlin. It is different from the version in the movie but it is on the DVD special features. The other old favorite hymns are by various other current singers and they sound so wonderful. I love listening to the whole CD.

What most people seem to forget is that this is a concept album. Many of the songs relate to the idea of "illuminate" or being "illuminated" (see defn in the CD sleeve). That alone makes it a 5-star collection. But THEN you get the David Crowder at what he does best... solid, creative, and worshipful. Another thing that is significant in the music industry is how well someone can establish a unique identity. Think about it? Is there anyone else out there even close to DCB? Don't think so. Get the album! Get A Collision! Get Remedy! Two more great concept albums.

It's an eccentric mix of tracks, but it's certainly not a random one. With some pop artists, the listener can tell that the songs have little to no relationship to each other, and they're assembled in some marketable order. Not so with this album, or any of David Crowder's work. The album is a flowing whole, and is probably meant to be taken in as such. As is characteristic of some of the band's other albums, there are short tracks in between some of the featured songs; these shorts I think the band hopes will be taken as seriously as some of the larger songs, because they help the piece flow (the shorter tracks are actually addressed in 20 "A Conversation").
An example of the interconnectedness of the songs in their arrangement is the movement ... Read More:

When I first got the CD and found out that it was just a CD full of remakes of songs that I mostly had on other CDs I felt extremely disappointed. It only took the 30 seconds to pop the CD into my music player to change my mine. The CD is a masterpiece. All of the song are vibrant and alive. If you enjoy any of David Crowders music, you will absolutly love this CD. I would recomend it to anyone.

I had listened to some tracks of this CD on Pandora and decided that I really enjoyed the songs. After receiving the CD, I can say that I thoroughly enjoy worshiping along with the CD. Even though it's small, it has a nice variety of songs. David Crowder Band's style with the added sounds puts a little extra flair on the CD, which I really like.
I am severely disappointed in the amount of dynamic range compression and clipping on this CD. On Pandora, it said the track was live, which was another I bought the CD as live tracks typically are better in this aspect. It seems to be live, but they appear to have modified it in the studio and raised the volume on it. Call me a music purist, but I really dislike buying a CD, especially a live CD, and finding ... Worship with a twist of Bluegrass. Pretty Cool. Includes some of the songs on A-Collision, but bluegrass style, again, pretty cool.
