Some kids music is rather annoying for adults. This album is very enjoyable for everyone. My husband and i like it as much as our kids do. Dan Zanes and They Might Be Giants are some of our favorites.

Nueva York!

My family are big fans of Dan Zanes, so it was an obvious choice to pick up 'Nueva York'. It didn't disappoint. The rhythms and songs are very good and fun to listen to. My son doesn't even understand much Spanish at 4, yet he tries to sing along! The singular thing my husband and I noticed was that the usual members of his group are not present except for his drummer, which surprised us a bit, as Barbara has sung Spanish music with him before, however, we very much enjoy this record.

My kids loved this CD, now that some are older they do not want to listen to it anymore but I love the songs and think it is wonderful for little kids !! Would definitely recommend.

Wow, I guess we had quite a different experience from all the raves! We gave this cd a play several times, hoping to have it "grow on us" but all of us disliked it. The rambling speaking parts are annoying, the singing voices not entirely pleasant. We all loved the recording of Firefly, but that's it.

This is a wonderful DVD. I got this as a stop gap until the VHS came out on DVD, but now I may not. Yes, the technical aspects are not the best. But it is the filming of an actual performance at the Delacorte Theater. It's not as slick as the production with Angela Landsbury, but Patricia Routledge, later to be Hetty Wainthrop and Hyacinth Bucket, more than holds her own, and the production has those small details that usually are left out of a much-edited and rehearsed film. You really get the feeling you are there watching a live performance. If you are a G&S fan, this is a DVD you must have. It is a gem of a performance, with wonderful actors/singers.

Rocket Ship Beach

Started watching him on Sesame Street and then The Disney Channel, and my daughter was really into him. So we listened to his music, and went to one of his concerts (awesome!). The music is true, clean, and no "Barney-Wiggle" annoyances. Introduces the kids to various instruments Guitars, Drums, Accordions, etc.

The songs contain a very catchy beat for adults as well, and Father Goose takes nursery rhymes to a whole new level.

Dan Zanes offers a musical taste for all genres.

Sea Music

Dan Zanes is fantastic. He produces and creates music that children love and parents too. So many childrens' recordings begin to wear on an adult after the many, many playings that children like to hear. Zanes' music is of such a high calibre that parents will find themselves wanting to hear the songs again also.

This is an outstanding recording of a live Boston concert featuring some of music's most notable stars who've generously donated the proceeds of this CD to the homeless. We've got the Usual Suspects, folks like Bruce Springsteen and Pete Seeger (Hobo's Lullaby) to notable bluesman Keb Mo (Baby, Don't Let me Go Homeless), jazz singer Madeline Peyroux (I Think It's Going to Rain Today), and African womens ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock (Stranger Blues).

"Give US Your Poor" is a generational collection which will have something to appeal to just about everyone in the family.
