Tchaikovsky Discovers America

This line of CD's is exceptional. This one ranks a little lower than the others. While my children are entertained by it, I found the story less engaging. In addition, Alex, the boy protagonist, has a tendency to be rude. It certainly doesn't fall into the usual bratty kid category that afflicts so much of current children's fare, but I was disappointed considering the other CDs are outstanding in all respects.

The music is presented in manageable chunks, and everyone will recognize most of the themes/pieces. My five year old loves the excitement of the train ride and the chase scene.

It is definitely worth having in your collection, but if you're only going to buy one, try one of the others first.

Daydreams And Lullabies

This, along with several books, is my standard new baby gift. It's just beautiful and soothing. I used to be an elementary teacher and would use this music to calm my students down when coming in from recess. It can calm adults down too!!!

The stories on CD are well written and very entertaining. I listened through all 3 CDs in one sitting when I got them! What's more, its sound quality is very good. I have other classical music CDs for kids and almost always I'm disappointed with the sound quality. (Violines sound like they have flu!)

This is a great buy for kids of all ages!!!

Mr. Bach Comes to Call

I ordered Mr. Bach Comes to Call for my piano studio. I used the teacher notes to supplement the learning at a group class for my students. The information in the notes was exceptionally thorough and interesting. The activities for the students really reinforced the learning. It was overall a better product than I expected.
