you would have to buy dozens of individual soundtracks to include even some of the music here. slight adjustment to john williams (for example) originals but well performed. outstanding variety. use these cds to jump start your day with triumph!

Bella Tuscany: Music Inspired by Tuscany

I found this cd to be a beautiful addition to my collection. I do vinotherapy in my spa and use it for the background music. It is perfect for this wonderful therapy. Imagine a "Bella Lucce"" grapeseed crush body scrub, honey and wine mask and a relaxing massage, all listening to this beautiful cd. Highly recommend it.

I bought this Cd two years ago, and I have to say that it is full of creepy classical music. When I heard this, I was happy to hear the song of "Dance Macabre". It was very creepy. The other tracks were good as well as "Night On Bald Mountain". I think the song "Dance Macabre" should be great for the reading of the Edgar Alan Poe story called "The Mask Of The Red Death". The song would fit the story pretty well, because it provides the dark, and spooky atmosphere of the story. This Cd is great for Halloween. Highly recommended.

So dissappointed in every single track. I was looking forward to 'better than TV' sound quality. Yes, that is about all you get. The arrangements are overblown and goofy, like a stereo cartoon soundtrack. If they had stayed with the orignal arrangements of all the themes this might have been a decent disc. Do not buy this expecting to play it on Halloween.

Kunzel/Cincinnati Pops' rendition of Tchaikovsky's '1812 Overture' is one of the best i've heard, and the detailed liner notes describing each composition are excellent as well (also with a good explanation of the recording process for this release). I finally 'took the plunge' recently, and decided to purchase a 'universal player' (upconverting DVD, SACD, HDCD, and 'redbook CD'), so that I could play all my 'redbook' and HDCD CD's, and to see what all the fuss was about concerning the superior audio quality of SACD, which I had never heard before. So I decided to 'christen' my SACD player with this disc (I listen in 2-channel stereo... call me a 'purist'). The first customer review praising the clarity of sound is what lead me to buy this disc. Unfortunately the sound of this Telarc SACD has a "digital glaze" and sounds smeared with no "bite." In other words, it's a terribly disappointing awful sounding SACD. This Telarc SACD is so bad that even way older analog recordings from over 50 years ago reissued on Mercury SACD annihilate this new supposed "state-of-the-art" digital recording (see my review on the Paul Paray Conducts Chabrier SACD). Don't waste your money on this turkey!
