Let me start off by saying that I'm a huge Christina fan. I think she's an incredibly talented young lady with a powerhouse voice. However, the theme of this album is suppose to be a tribute to traditional jazz and blues music from the 20's, 30's, and 40's. Christina has openly said that she wanted this album to reflect on old jazz music. However, the album only achieves this on 2 or 3 tracks. "Candyman" and "I Got Trouble" sound like authentic jazz tunes that could've been recorded in the 1940's. "Nasty Naughty Boy" is a sultry, seductive song that sounds like it's straight out of a 1920's burlesque strip show. brilliant it's not. it's not even great, but somehow it's worth buying. The album is bold, sometimes agressiv, sometimes sad, shows us a moment in her life that she was truly strugling to find her self. The result is 18 songs and 2 intros that variate from rap to pop and soul, giving you the bless of one of the most beautiful pop records ever released - the record "beautiful". If beautiful is not enough reason to buy the album, her voice definately is. From her first album to this one aguilera really improved in her vocal skills, earning comparison to one of the greatest voices of all time, whitney houston. i absolutly loved christina's debut cd, every song on it was good and hearing her sing in spanish on this album was so beautiful. Unfortuntly after this in my opinon christina has went downhill, i absolutly did not like her stripped album, she completly lost her passion in music, stripped was all about sex and complaining about men treating women like objects, well christina if you were smart enough you would know that you don't need to dress and act like a skank in your dirty video to be beautiful as you say in your song, it just completely gives young girls a bad message.

I am a big Christina Aguilera fan. As much as I love her though, I must say that this Christmas CD is way overdone. This is not what Christmas music is supposed to be, with all the shouting and melisma. Christmas music should be calming and soothing. This is not.

This is horrible to the point of tears. This CD is career ruining. If this were widely released (was it?), I don't know if we would be seeing the AMAZINGLY talented girl we see now. Stripped & Back to Basics are NOTHING short of IMPRESSIVE. I can't IMAGE the music industry without this talent, so thank GOD this wasn't released! WOW!!! 1 star because there isn't a "0" option! Sorry Christina!

Don't listen to "It's time someone kept it real" over there. The remixes of "Lady Marmalade" by Thunderpuss are the best! Here's a tracklisting, review, & rating of each:
1. Edit [8/10]: Why didn't they just include the album version? Time: 4:14.
2. Thunderpuss Radio Edit [9/10]: I don't really like edits, cuz the full mix is better most of the time, but for those of you who don't like 9+ minute remixes, this is 4 U. Time: 4:14.
3.Thunderpuss Club Mix [100/10]: I LOVE THIS REMIX!!! This is undoubtedly one of, if not THE best remixes by Thunderpuss, right up there with their remixes of Madonna's "Don't Tell Me". I like it better than the album version! Time: 9:37.
