This is a great album from the best supergroup of all time you will never get such a talented group of people together again the only shame is they only produced one album. Every track is different and it shows you the talent this group had, long live the Blind Faith the only true supergroup.

Ok, I was around when this albumn came out. We loved Cream, and we loved Spencer Davis Group. The combination seemed perfect, and it was, just not long enough. As far as the Clapton song, Presence of the Lord, it sounds a lot like his later works, meaning, forget me, I am not a rock star anymore. A very whiny song, not even worth listening too. Winwood's songs are great, as always. Now, as far as the main bain of my contention, the drum solo in Do What You Like, what is everybody's problem???????? This is by far the 3rd best song on this album. Ginger Baker was probably the greatest rock drummer of all time, and this solo proved it. When everybody came in at the end of it, what a bang. The flip side sort of sucks, but the second side rocks. Oh well, ... Read More:

In my opinion, this is one of the greatest of virtually unknown albums. It features the technical superiority of Cream without the abstract lyrics, having a much more spiritual feel to the songs. Steve Winwood is a superb singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and we all have heard of Ginger Baker and that other bloke on guitar....I forget his name! Rick Grech rounds out the band by playing bass that is much more a backing instrument than a lead as Jack Bruce used to be. Most criticism is levelled at Ginger Baker's only song on the album "Do What You Like", citing it as a vehicle for a boring drum solo. Last time I listened, there were guitar, organ, bass, and drum solos on this track, none of which were boring. One of the greatest tracks here is "Sea ... Read More:

It is hard not to look back at the line-up of this short-lived 1969 supergroup and think about what might have been: Eric Clapton on guitar and vocals; Steve Winwood on organ, bass, guitar, piano, keyboards, vocals; and Ginger Baker on percussion and drums. Certainly Blind Faith had the potential to be more than a Cream substitute with Winwood replacing Jack Bruce, because Clapton and Winwood were headed in a different musical direction from either Cream or Traffic. Besides, Clapton and Windwood had decided to team up and Baker was eager to sign on as the drummer when he sat in on their sessions. Of course you can look backwards and see Cream's soulful blues mixed with the emphasis on riffs and the longer song lengths of Traffic, but the result is still rather unique. ... Read More:

Words do little to give this CD the praise it deserves. The only bad aspect is the fact that there is only one CD. I often think "what if they stayed together?" This is one of the top 25 of all time.
