The music of the Four Seasons is timeless, but this recording enhances both the vocals and music. In Particular, the drums and bass are brought to the forefront without diluting the excellent vocals and yet gives a dynamic punch to songs recorded over 40 years ago. Highly recommended to anyone who lived in the era of 45's!!!

Chicken Little

It's a cute CD...I love the fact that they used the voices from the movie and not some other people like most animated Soundtracks do. I especially love that they put in the clips of the movie like where chicken little sang "We are the champions" but revised it to "I am the champion," and he only sang up to a certain part of the song. It's a good CD.

This is a very nice CD collection that I enjoy very much. They are original recordings so you have to be aware that a couple of the older songs sound scratchy just like they did when you put the record on the record player. It was a shame they couldn't get a crisper sound with all the new technology but it does make you aware how the sound quality has improved over the years. This would make a great gift to anyone over 50. I put mine in the car and just sing away and before I know it I am at my destination. This would be a great collection to take on a trip.

This is an amazing work of emotional, passionate, and very creative music. Its facinating melodies are very complex and its themes are powerful. This is a masterpiece of artful composition, but it is not a CD for those with frivolous tastes. It is very beautiful and involved music so if you dwell on the music of Hairspray or Grease, this is definately not an item for you, but if you really appriciate the true purpose of music then I am confident that you'll fall in love with Guettel's work!

There are lots of reissues of early recordings, but all the offerings from Old Hat are head and shoulders above the rest.

Sure, the pirates of the world can probably find this material in MP3 format, but despicable thievery aside, they're missing out on the complete package. The music combined with the ample booklet is the true prize. The true value is owning this release, holding it in your hand: listening, reading, viewing the rare photos.

Ok first off, read the title to this review, just to make sure you get this. OK Suburbia is hated by a lot of music fans, FIRST:become film fans and movies with honest characters. NEXT buy a brain. ok forget the last step, Suburbia is a f**king classic, i introduced this move to my friends (knowing its based on a play) and they ALL loved it just as much as i did, because, well it reminded us of who we were in the state we were just getting into, the no-life "we just hang out and hope for a way out" state. Second, the soundtrack provides a good mix of alternative (Sonic Youth) (Girls Against Boys), industrial (Skinny Puppy) ( and a classic opening number for the movie "Town without pitty"

Amour (2002 Original Broadway Cast)

I'll make it short and sweet, just as the play's run
was short and less than sweet: I'm writing this in 2007, and AMOUR remains the best musical of the new millennium. Malcolm Gets was just about perfect, Melissa Errico's voice is magnificent, the seven other cast members were remarkably good in multiple roles, James Lapine did his usual superb job of directing...but the real star of AMOUR is, of course, composer Michel Legrand. I hope someday he'll forgive Broadway for this play's reception; I won't.
