This is a collection of house and downtempo tracks. There are about eight solid songs, which make for good listening but are nothing exceptional or even particularly memorable - in other words, you won't be humming any hooks the next day. My music collection could easily be without it. However, if you are able to snatch a used copy of this release on Amazon at $.50 as it appears now, it might be worth your money.

Being a long time fan of Basement Jaxx I had high expectations and once again was not let down. Romeo is of course the cream of the crop but the entire CD shines, catchy beats with great lyrical talents helps this CD last and last.

Kish Kash

I use this album as a touchstone for other Basement Jaxx works since I am new to listening to them. I probaby say "touchstone" because "Kish Kash" seems to glue their entire catalog together with an eclectic mix of all-over-the-board ingenuity and verve. I saw them a few years back during an outdoor Summer concert in Downtown LA and they joined Beck and Red Kross as the most vibrant and exciting acts. Little by little I acquired some albums, singles, etc. and remembered where I had seen the main singer for the Jaxx: there is a little street in London that connects Tottenham Court Road with Gordon Square at the University College London, and along the sidewalk, the college placed some images of luminary alumni, one of which was Felix (Buxton). Romeo

Bongoloid is definitely the reason to buy the single. It is an awesome track that deserves its own single. I think the only reason it didn't get into the Rooty album is because it actually would fit more into Remedy than Rooty (it reminded me of "Same Old Show" mixed with the jungle feel of "Red Alert"). Rooty was just a fun album and this one just does more experimentation than Rooty felt like covering. Must be the intro (don't almost all electronica intros stink?).

Bongoloid is an incredible track. Find the single. Get it. The Cover art has a Lion on it (keeping with the animal zoo of Rooty's monkey and 'Where's your head at?' single's Ostrich. Too bad they don't have the art on the site.

I love this CD! I play it every night in the car on the way to the club. Every single track rocks! Basement Jaxx are the best at what they do. Hands down.
