Yes, "The Christmas Collection" is a greatest hits album, culling favorites from her three studio Christmas albums. Amy is refreshingly candid in the liner notes asking: How much Christmas music should any singer release? (Apart from side projects and a single contribution to Christmas albums here and there, she has released three Christmas albums, in 1983, 1992 and 1999.)

What must be noted: 1) Amy invented the modern Christmas album in the guise as a worshipful, sincere Christmas celebration, while including a handful of secular favorites. I thoroughly enjoy this CD. There is a selection of both the Christian and secular sides of her work. The soundmix is wonderful and she is very, very talented. I can very much recommend this CD to anyone that likes her style of music.

Lead Me On (20th Anniversary Edition) (2 CDs)

The Lead me on Anniversary Edt. is a great CD..especially the BONUS CD with the LIVE Tracks from the 1989 Tour and the Accoustic recordings are a blast to listen.
I hope Amy will do many many new songs..she has such an heart-warming voice, the lyrics are so real, positive and it was fun listening to her in the 80's in the 90's and also in 2008.

Home for Christmas

This is Amy Grant's second Christmas album, and it's a lovely effort. It's full of fun, spiritual, and sweet Christmas songs. From "It's the most wonderful time of the year" to "The Night Before Christmas", it's wonderful christmas songs all the way through. Amy sounds especially good on "Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song)" (Written by herself and another writer), and "Grown-up Christmas List", as well as "Winter Wonderland." It is a beautiful Christmas album, one that the whole family can enjoy.

Company (2006 Broadway Revival Cast)

I had seen this production in early 2008 when it aired on PBS and fell in love with the music. The production was beautiful, so when I bought this album I knew what i was in for. This CD is definitively one of the best recordings of a Sondheim show. It is expansive and yet intimate, it is polished and refined and yet modern and at sometimes bitingly truthful about marriage and being single and for that matter being alive!

A Christmas Album

This is simply my favorite Christmas album. Keep in mind this was 1980's but the production still holds today and the arrangements are superior. Amy Grant never claimed to be God's gift to singing but she does a great job of delivering just what the songs needed. An essential CD to own if you love Christmas music. It helps to be a fan already.

Rock of Ages...Hymns & Faith

This is an album of Christian music, primarily but not entirely focused on older hymns. The music is fairly mainstream country-rock. Grant's voice is very beautiful. All of the songs are very good. For me, the stand-outs are "Joyful, Joyful" a Christian hymn set to Beethoven's secular-pagan-messianic classic "Ode to Joy" from the 9th Symphony and "El Shaddai," an extremely simple and moving hymn to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

A Christmas to Remember

To me, Christmas isn't Christmas without an Amy Grant CD being played. I wait impatiently for the holiday season to roll around so I can dig her holidays CDs out and play them incessantly. My favorite of hers is the now classic "Home For Christmas" which should be in every Christmas lover's CD collection. I place this offering, her third, right behind that one and before her first one, "The Christmas Album."(Which hasn't aged well). Heresy, you say? Not really. Granted, she doesn't really offer much here as a songwriter, but she still has an amazing gift for making a song her own.
