I absolutely love this soundtrack. The perfect soundtrack to go with a perfect film. Ever since I saw the film back in 1999, it instantly became one of my all time favorites, and shortly after, I bought the soundtrack. I can't say enough about it. It's beautiful. Aimee Mann is a genius! Her songs are so powerful, and I can see why P.T. Anderson wanted to adapt her songs into a screenplay. Buy it from Amazon NOW!

Bachelor No. 2

This CD never gets old. I love a lot of the stuff that Aimee has done, but this is my favorite from start to finish. "Red Vines", "How Am I Different" and "Deathly" (to name 3) rank with Aimee's finest work--thoughtful, original lyrics set against highly melodic, catchy, almost Beatlesque rock. What strikes me about Bachelor #2 is how it stands up to repeated (and repeated) play. I buy a lot of music, and this is definitely one of my Top Ten of the last ten years or so. Take my word for it. If you like good music, you'll love Bachelor #2.

The Forgotten Arm

This is every bit as good as "Bachelor No. 2" but you have to have patience. The story, music, vocals, and brilliance of the song sequence didn't start sinking in until about my seventh listen. It's deceptively complex, and absolutely beautiful. A start-to-finish pleasure from a true artist.

This album is fantastic. Some highlights: "Long Shot", "Frankenstein", "Amateur", "Superball"...Every song on here is great. I found this solo album even better than the first ("Whatever").

This solo debut by Aimee is one of her best albums by far; the song "I should've known" is a great introduction, and "4th of July", "Stupid thing", "Say anything", "I've had it", "Mr Harris" and "Could've been anyone" are among the best songs she has ever written. I love this artist, and every album of hers is worth buying!

One More Drifter in the Snow

I am not one normally for Christmas songs or CDs but this CD is an exception. I really liked Aimee's take on xmas songs. They weren't typically sugary and fake (like I find some holiday music to be) but I felt she really captured some of the bittersweetness of the holiday, but still didn't let things get too down. And I have to admit, I have listened to these tracks year round and still enjoyed them. So get a fire going, sit back, relax and enjoy this wonderful holiday CD.
