I RECENTLY HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS BAND LIVE AND I HAVE TO SAY, THEY ARE EVEN BETTER LIVE THAN THEY ARE ON CD!!! THIS IS THE BEST CD THEY'VE DONE SO FAR. I RECOMMEND THIS CD TO ANYONE WHO IS A FAN OF 3DOORSDOWN, OR EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT!!

The Better Life

If you have heard 3 Doors Down on the radio and are curious about this band, this is a great album to start with, their first. There are so many hits on this album, and even the lesser known songs rock. "Down Poison", "By My Side" and "Smack" are probably my favorite songs of the lesser known on the list. Overall, this album is great. I love the song "Be Like That".

I think that 3 Doors Down has to be one of the best Rock bands in recent years. They did the impossible with this album, made it better than the original. If you are a fan of 3 Doors Down and the album "The Better Life", then you will love this. "Away From the Sun" is the perfect album. Any song on this record are good enough to be a single. I don't dance, but man did I feel like dancing while listening to this! I couldn't help but move when I listen. If you are a fan, you will think this album rocks! And you will be correct.

Seventeen Days

This album starts off rocking hard, then it starts to fizzle towards the middle of the album, but I do like the song "Here By Me". I think one of the "biggest" songs on the album is supposed to be "Landing in London" with Bob Seger, but it just ends up being a little dull and disappointing. It does, however, have the big sound of a Seger song. It may sound bad, but there are some good songs on here to be found. "Let Me Go" is great and one of my favorite 3DD songs and "Behind Those Eyes" and "Never Will I Break" are other awesome songs. Overall, a pretty good album, but what do you expect when this was put together in about 17 days (which is why the album is named so).

Another 700 Miles

I usually avoid 'live' albums whenever possible. The fans screaming and yelling much too long and entirely too loudly usually clouds my thoughts on the lyrics themselves. I could do without the added aggravation of the windy verbal intros on a couple of the tracks, too. Let's face it, once you've heard the witty remarks, they don't change any.
'Kryptonite', in my opinion, saves this ones back side. It creates a magnetic force field that pulls everyone in to the same space and has everyone feeling it, just like it probably does at all 3DD's live performances. It's a simply written but great song, and this is an energetic version of it.

This cd is great for anyone interested in hearing the depth of a music genre. Typically when you hear a rock song, you dont hear really how the singer is supposed to influence the musical sense of the songs, but when the singer's role is put into a more balanced/equal role with the rest of the musicians, it contributes so much more to the musicality of the song. What can I say have had this CD for a couple of years and it just rocks saw them in concert so have to say the CD does sound better, they have a good studio crew. Honestly, saw Nickleback with them and they blew them away but in the same category they are a good addition to your collection do it just get it!!
