I almost cannot imagine a better-cast "Annie" than this one, unless they could somehow get a time machine and bring young Andrea McArdle herself forward to reclaim the title role. Kathy Bates! Alan Cumming! Audra McDonald! Victor Garber as Daddy Warbucks -- maybe the best of all. The musical is regrettably simplified and shortened for its TV running time, but remains extremely enjoyable and, despite budget and set limitations, far livelier than the overwrought 1982 film. The songs are beautifully sung, and the production numbers are no less delightful for their simplicity. I wish that they could have filmed the full musical, as plotted, with exactly this cast; the result would absolutely have been the definitive "Annie." As it is, I ... Read More:

I enjoyed watching 21 Jumpstreet. I am so happy to be able to find these series again to watch. I had missed a few episodes and now I had a chance to see them from the beginning. I am looking forward to watching the next season too.

Now I know where to go besides Cheers to remember the 80's. This show touched on some hot button issues for the day. While Growing Pains was trying to describe DIVORCE as if it was the end of the world this show was tackling teen drinking, gun's in school all sorts. Once you get by the Cheesy 21 jump street intro, which I found out Depp and cast actually sang, the show's really speak for them selves.

That's right, Zuper! Zuper! Richard Gere was great as the manipulative, money-hungry, publicity-grabbing laywer Billy Flynn working to get Roxie Hart (Rene Zellweger) off of a murder charge. John C. Reilly's "Cellophane Man" was surprisingly entertaining. Along with of course, Richard Gere's great "puppet man" scene.
But Zellweger really steals the show. Well, along with Zeta-Jones' super performances. Catherine Zeta-Jones with a real "triple-threat" performance (like that of Zellweger) really helped put this movie over the top. What a pair of bombshells. The Duo's closing number is awesome. Super choreography throughout the entire movie.

What else is there to say! Johnny Depp and many others got their start on this magnificent series! I love love love this show! There has never been another one like it. Peter DeLuise was amazing on this series!

This is the last of the great 21 jumpstreet seasons. The other ones are OK, but this is the final essential one. If you're a 21JS fan or you like good television from the late 80s-early90s then you will definitely need seasons 1-4.

"Memoirs of a Geisha" both book and film, should be one of those films I should love to hate but don't. Instead, I found myself captivated by the lush world, especially that brought to the big screen. Despite the surpring little multi-culture event that went on with the movie, it is just as wondrous and passionate as the book, with more inclination toward the "fairy tale" side of things. Which, if not necessarily historically accurate, is fine with a fairy tale freak such as myself. The acting is sensational, and the film is finely crafted. It's a wonderful story that does very well as a movie, even to the point of becoming breath-taking.
