Release Date February 03, 2004
This is one of those predictable movies that still makes you want to see it from start to finish. The characters are likeable and the storyline pulls on your heartstrings as you see the main characters eventually share their feelings and life together before your eyes. Filming locations are beautiful.

Nicholas Roeg's 1973 DON'T LOOK NOW may be one of the single best studio films produced during the great so-called Hollywood Renaissance of 1969-1977; it certainly is one of the most influential. Using Daphne du Maurier's brilliantly ambiguous and mysterious novella as its base, Roeg uses her ghost story to produce what is really a meditation on time and space and the way in which fiction (and particularly film) structure our epistemological awareness of them both. The primary setting is Venice during the off-season, where a wealthy couple, John and Laura Baxter (Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie), are recuperating from the loss of their small daughter who drowned months before on their English estate. John is working restoring a damaged sixteenth ... Read More:

I sing the songs from this movie for days after playing it and truly enjoy having a great DVD copy instead of the old VHS. The quality is excellent and I received it before the expected date.

This is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Along with Play Misty For Me, this is one of my favorite Eastwood films. Philo takes on a bare-knuckle fighter (hired by the Mafia), while he is being chased by those idiot bikers from the Black Widows.

I saw this movie in the theatre many years ago, my first exposure to Robert Altman's fluid style. The movie is a portrait - the cinematography is beautiful, it left me with the same feelings I get while looking at great photographs. I was stunned by the dark mood the movie creates and by some of my feelings, especially my shock at the central murder scene on the bridge.
I thought Keith Carradine's role as the cowboy is the best acting in this film, and if you watch him play Bill Hickok in Deadwood, you'll hardly believe you're seeing the same actor, so great are his talents.
This movie has remained on my all-time favourites list since 1971. But you will not find "excitement" or "action" here. It's simply an exceptional portrait of a special time ... Read More:

I always wonder, when I look at old films that I once liked a lot, whether they will hold up in time. I really don't remember any strong my reaction to Shampoo, which I saw shortly after it came out. I think I enjoyed it but dismissed it as kind of silly.
Now I think I enjoyed it a lot more. The script is very smart and manages to be both hilarious and serious. The cast is stellar in every sense of the word: Julie Christie and Goldie Hawn, both at the height of their physical beauty (although they have both aged remarkably well) are a sheer delight just to look at. Warren is awesome, as always, despite the most ridiculous hairdo ever to be plopped on the head of a leading man. (With the possible exception of Sean Penn in Dead Man Walking.) Lee Grant gives ... I loved this movie, man. However I can't give it anything higher than a single star. It could have been great but for one very important issue. The Centurion who is present when the earthquake occurred during Christ's crucifixion states "Truly this was A Son of God!" WRONG! Read the Bible my friends, the Centurion said: Matthew 27:54 "Truly this was THE Son of God!''
Whether this was simply a misspoken or flubbed line, some slack oversight by the writer, or an intentional, calculated misrepresentation of the Word of God designed to throw confusion into the mind of the viewer.. I don't know. If I had been working on this project and I'm sure this movie was proof-edited before being released, I would have caught that. Man, when that scene came up it literally ... Read More:

Very funny film. I did not expect to laugh so hard, but there are several classic scenes that far surpass the original Bachelor Party. Though the themes and storyline are pretty simple, the writing is very good. Hard to believe this was Director Jim Ryan's first film.
Release Date June 24, 2008
This is a very good way to get into this masterwork from Landi. Unfortunately, the DVD is reducing the impact of the production. I attended one of the performances at The Theatre Des Champs Elysees, and part of the magic is lost.
But Jarouski and Cencic are fantastic! And what a beautiful music!

This is the story of Mr. Rochester's mad wife and how they got together. I only gave this video 4 stars because I like the concept and the story itself was intriguing.
The editing wasn't all that great and the screenplay didn't do much for me. I didn't mind that it was erotic. You can choose your rating btw and watch hotter if you like. I watched the lesser "R" rating and wished there had been a PG. I really did not need to see Mr. Rochester naked, but some people may like that.
I liked that it was told in the wife's point of view. That was intriguing. I didn't like how it made Mr. Rochester look in parts because I thought it was unfair. But, I'm admittedly a Mr. Rochester fan so perhaps that's colored my opinion.
All in all I wish I had rented this. But if you can't ... Read More:
