This is targeted for young people as well as adults, but it has scenes that are completely innapropriate for young teenagers.

I was hoping for an enjoyable hero movie, like Batman Begins, but instead it started with a bedroom sex scene only masked by a sheet. This is wrong-headed for a teen movie. Then they made repeated references to him having sex with journalists, again inappropriate for a movie targeted at teens.

Then, Downey's acting was lame. "OK, I'm the Iron Man." What a dumb ending. Nothing like Batman Begins which drew me into the character, or the more plausible technologies used.

I can't believe this movie didn't do well with the critics. I guess cynicism has no place in this movie, so they felt left out. Terrific family movie, love story, musical, inspirational film. I have recommended it to many of my friends and family. I also purchased the CD and listen to it in the car quite a bit. Robin Williams is a kick, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is compelling, and he really sang his own part. The musical talent is awesome, and there's real joy conveyed throughout the film, even when times are tough.

Mr. Holland's Opus is a great movie. I have watched it several times and I will keep watching it. It has so much meaning and caring and Richard Dreyfuss did a great job.

The Hughes Brothers did the impossible for some directors avoided the sophmore slump. Dead Presidents is a ghetto classic about violence and a heist. Larenz Tate is good in the lead role and Chris Tucker is funny as always. This movie is very deep and thought provking and it's a shame The Hughes Brothers haven't done a movie since From Hell. After their sucess with American Pimp I thought for sure they'd take on Pimp by Iceberg Silm. Never the less still a good film.

This movie isn't one of my favorites but it's not a bad movie. The acting is very good though I'm not too fond of the storyline though. Overall its an okay movie, just don't believe all the hype or you may be a little disappointed.

Okay, so Four Brothers might not teach the smartest ideals about avenging someone's death. Not to mention these guys never get locked up for their deeds. But that's missing the point.
The movie is a mediation on choosing one path over the other. I don't care how well the brothers were brought up, but they are still street kids, with a penchant for violence and they would rightfully want to avenge their mother's death in the only way they know how. This is illustrated with the wonderful talent of Andre Benjamin, who is reluctant to partake in his brothers' violent ways.
The film is incredibly entertaining, almost too much so, to the point where there are multiple nonsensical scenes merely for entertainment. But that is all okay! It wasn't supposed to win best picture, ... Read More:
