WWE does it once again. A great re-living of the best group of wrestlers ever assembled. I was fortunate enough to start watching wrestling again the very week Arn Anderson originally came to Georgia so I lived the whole thing.
I wish Ole would have participated in the commentary but understand that past events and health problems prevented that from happening. I also would have included more matches with a third disc, especially featuring the original four. The one match above all others I wanted to see and was disappointed by its lack of inclusion is the Ole/Arn Anderson vs. Rock and Roll Express match where they originally "broke" Ricky Morton's nose. That match above all others showed just how sadistic Ole and Arn could ... Read More:

Okay, so my title is taken from a movie that has no relation whatsoever to this British gem (`Paris When is Sizzles') but it was that movie that really explains well why this movie is so amazing. In `Paris When is Sizzles', Hepburn and Holden are constantly talking about the importance of the switch in filmmaking, that is a plot twist that catches the audience off guard and captures the attention. They go back and forth about switches on switches on switches. `Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' has switches in spades. Yes, if any movie can captivate you with its numerous plot shifts and character developments, it is this wildly entertaining British masterpiece.
The film follows four friends, Tom, Soap, Eddie and Bacon, as they attempt to ... Read More:

Basically this movie is a 2 1/2 hour snooze fest which has an action scene to get you excited for what is perceived to be more entertainment, only to abruptly end. The movie is very dense, and doesn't reiterate any important events that are given in dense chunks of information. Instead what the movie does is offer many reminders to unimportant events, often several times per event. Such as Jessica sees her son Paul is alive. She is excited he is alive, then she thinks "Paul is alive." And then later on she will say once more that she is glad her son is alive. We as the viewers readily see that Paul is alive, and yet we are treated to several reminders, just incase we didn't pick up on it the first three times. Whereas complex political relationships aren't ... Read More:

Phil Hartman was easily one of the funniest people to be on SNL ever. Why he left to be on the less funnier Newsradio is beyond me. Ususally the best of collections dissapoint me, but I found this to be rather entertaining, You've got Clinton, Sinatra, Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, and the analretentive chef. The 5 second bits were also highly hysterical, im suprised they dont do that more on other SNL best ofs.

This is a review of the VHS version. I normally do not do movie or T.V. reviews, but I purchased this one and felt I should have my say. The only, and I mean only reason I purchased this one was for Martin's two routines featured here; King Tut and Theodoric of York, Medieval Barber. Of all the skits Martin participated in, these two are my favorite. In fact, they are my favorite skits of all the early SNL show I watched. I was not disappointed!
This particular VHS tape includes:
The Festruuk brothers (The Wild and Crazy Guys)
Theodoric of York, Medieval Barber
Senor Lopez
King Tut
It also includes routines by Father Guido Sarducci and the Blues Brothers which are actually pretty funny in themselves.
If you like these routines, you will ... Read More:
