Wesley Snipes role in this movie might not be remembered but this movie has his best performance in it.
Sugar Hill is basically about Roemello Skuggs who is trying to get out of the drug trade business and has to deal with problems like the mob tring to move in on his territory, his brother Raynathan(played by Michael Wright) trying to drag him back in, his father having drug abuse issues and his new girlfriend, Mellisa(played by the beautiful Theresa Randle) who doesnt approve of his lifestyle and wants to get rid of him and his boss not being happy with him leaving.
Wesley Snipes did a great job as the troubled Roemello but Clarence Williams III is excellent as his father A.R Skuggs. The complex relationship with Roemello ... Read More:

Superb eighteen song DVD of the notorious Iron Maiden playing to an extremely large crowd in 2001. Fortunately, I got to see them a year before that. Semi-promising tracks off their new (at the time) disc 'Brave New World' included the title track, "Ghost Of The Navigator" and "Dream Of Mirrors". Sound and picture quality here are top notch. Of course, we also get to thoroughly soak in plenty of that good 'ol classic Maiden like "The Trooper", "The Evil That Men Do", one of my personal Maiden favorites - the awesome "Number Of The Beast", "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and the '80's metal foot-stomper "Run To The Hills". For me, one of the most memorable scenes on this DVD is during the song "Iron Maiden", when vocalist Bruce Dickinson bonds with several ... Read More:

Every so often there comes an artist who works in a disrespected genre, yet who has enough talent and vision to almost make that whole genre seem respectable; at least in his own takes on it. And, when two such artists get together, their synergy is even greater. Such was the fortuitous pairing of film producer Val Lewton (née Vladimir Leventin) and film director Jacques Tourneur, who double-handedly resurrected the RKO Radio Pictures film studio after the financial losses of the two artistically great but financially disastrous Orson Welles films they made: Citizen Kane and The Magnificent Ambersons. They did so by collaborating on a series of horror films that, while intended to rival the box office of the Universal monster film series, starring Frankenstein's ... Read More:

If you watch this movie and enjoy it. Youll have to read Sonny Barger's books. Its a great movie about some seedy underhanded clowns from my HOME TOWN Salem Massachusetts who cross the BIG RED MACHINE. And it will show you that IF YOU DONT F WITH THEM...THEY WONT F WITH YOU. The LOCAL 81 original crew guys did a great job in being themselves. And even the guys today are good guys. Buy this movie and read sonny's books.

I rented this movie years ago and had some kind of nostalgic memory of how good it was. I finally bought it but was disappointed. There isnt that much action, though I still like the fight scene at the end. Its kind of awwsome how Norris keeps pounding on "the terror" but he keeps coming after him. I guess you could say there is some good character development in the character Norris plays.

i was going to write a review that just said "as good as swingers", then the movie reached the halfway point and fell apart. the non-serious guy suddenly gets all mad at the serious guy for no reason. then the friendliest stripper ever has sex with the serious guy and consequently gets mad at him for no reason. it seems like maybe there were deleted scenes that would have made the fights make sense.

I normally would not write a review, but I am ashamed to say that I lost two hours of my life to this obscenely horrible movie. I would have had a better time if I had stabbed myself in the eye five times and tried to bandage it with a soldering iron. If you are looking for a reason to kill yourself, Sonic Impact is the movie for you. Not only was there no Sonic Impact, there was no impact at all. Terrible plot and horrible character development, add to a low budget thriller that I would use to punish my children if they were to pee on the kitchen floor. Ice T was by far the best actor in this movie. If that doesn't give you an impression of its quality, then you probably can't read or write. If you enjoyed Chill Factor, Dante's Peak, or Canadian suspense movies... this ... Read More:

The last 15 or so minutes of this movie are 15 of the best minutes of fighting/violence ever. The violence is very realistic, and the use of the nunchucks is great. It is a well choreographed fight scene which has lots of VERY realistic gore and blood-shed. This is what a true fight to the death would look like, and it's not pretty!!! Recommended for fans of gore/trash/B Movies who can appreciate the down and dirty violence in this little known gem.

Obviously the other reviews would lead you to believe that this is another one of those cruddy little SOV gore movies, and it is. The difference, and it's major, is that though low budget this has a literate script (excepting some plot holes), intelligent direction, and a nice score. While most of these pictures are concerned with gore and a metal soundtrack, the director here is obviously a movie fan who is after more than a cheap stoner thrill. Comments made above about the acting are only half correct; the lead actress shows real talent, and so does the actor who plays the villain in two roles. There is genuine suspense, and the action scenes are, at this level of production, pretty amazing. As stated above, the score attempts to accentuate the story rather than provide a ... Read More:

This is just like an epic of Iron Maiden's story. From the beginning till never ending. It has all that die hard fans wanted to see and hear. The theatrical parts was a breath of freshness in terms of showmanship. Value for money in terms of sight and sound!!! Long Live Iron Maiden!!!
