I bought this DVD through Amazon Canada almost one year ago because it was not yet released to the USA. Although there are no special features on this DVD the show itself was remarkable. The setlist was chosen by a vote of fans on the Scorpions website. I've been a Scorps fan since about 1982 and have seen them live 10 times since 1987. They are one of the best live rock bands in the world and they still play shows all around the globe throughout the year.

One of the great parts of this show was the addition of some songs I've never seen live and the collobaration with three former Scorps band members from long ago to play on stage. The audio quality is good, I can turn it up loud and enjoy the vibrating of the entire house. ... Read More:

first off just for the record, it is not ntsc and is not region 1. it is in pal format, info in case anyone is serious about purchasing it. and i think you should. when heavy metal masters can make acoustical musical history. every scorpions fan should have the chance to see and hear this masterpiece. why it was never marketed in ntsc worlwide is beyond me. its in widescreen format, excellent video, dts sound engineered with the best quality. and extras on the dvd that make it so complete. its almost like it was released in pal to a specific region, and then forgotten about. what was captured on this dvd, is something some groups never accomplish in an entire career of recording and performing live. after playing drums for thirty years and teaching ... Although the audio quality of this DVD isn't perfect the live performance shows the energy that the Scorpions bring to the stage day in and day out. In the final song they obviously used video clips from different shows because the drummer is shown in a different shirt over and over. Whoever edited this show....well.......did he get paid?

The history of the Scorpions documentary is about one hour long and is a joy to view. The only thing about the history production is the playing of music that didn't correspond with that point in history. A very fun DVD but I would recommend Wacken Live 2006, a DVD that came out in 2007 with very good sound quality and a setlist with 26 songs including the Matthias Jabs guitar and James Kottak drum ... Black Scorpion - The TV Series

This was a really fun series and it's quite an impressive DVD set. One of the nicest looking DVD sets I own as a matter of fact. I loved this show and every episode of the series is here on DVD to enjoy over and over. A great buy for Scorpion fans.

I don't know what it is about people who produce these compilations. They seem to be convinced that us video music fans simply prefer to have people TALKING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE VIDEOS!
I've got an idea, how about a separate section on the disc for interviews??? - Ya think these discs might actually sell???
I bought this thinking the interviews were separate from the videos and for about 6.00 used, how could anyone go wrong?
In short, if you are looking for the actual, complete, *un-interrupted* videos (or interviews) from these artists, save your money.

[Warning small spoilers of scenes though not plot.] These (double feature, sharing plots and actresses) movies have neither the standard new-fish-in-big-house WIP movie elements of #701 (first Scorpion movie) nor the magical mythical female avenger of the later parts of #701 and all of Jail house 41 (second Scorpion movie). The actress is is of course beautiful but
much less memorable than Meiko Kaji (of #701 and jail-house 41).
Rather there are more non-prison scenes which seem influenced by HK girl w/gun movies and MTV. There are still some fun WIP movie bits and pieces, in particular a group Japanese hip bath in the prison, and some modest medical inspection strippings. There are also many sex scenes with varying degrees of nakedness.

Hi there! I'm Frank, and I'll be taking over for Zaggy today while he catches the arenaball game down at the tank. Today I'll be reviewing this here video aquarium DVD, which my dad picked up some time back along with a really nice high-definition TV. I must say, the DVD, combined with the sharpness of the TV he got, made dad's little "aquarium" look surprisingly realistic. So realistic, in fact, that when I saw the thing playing on the new set for the first time, I thought it was an actual aquarium he'd just bought! 'Course, I realized my mistake a bit too late when the fish food I poured into the vents shorted out the set and voided dad's warrantee. Now I have to find a new place to live...
