Since I lost my VHS version of this film, I had missed the occasional nostalgic viewing. This DVD version brings it all back. It's as good as ever, and includes some new enhancement to the setting at Pompeii. Worth replacing your old version.

There will probably never be another production with this much magic involved. The time was the Berlin Wall coming down, the place was Berlin. The crowd numbered in the tens of thousands. Luck and God was on their side to pull this off in so little time. AMAZING!!! There could not have been a better celebration of such a historical event in time.

I have to say that I actually don't own this DVD, but I have seen it on VH1. If you are a Floyd fan, you have got to see this - it's fantastic. But if you want to buy this because you think it's a concert of Dark Side of Moon - don't!!! It's called "The Making of The Dark Side Of The Moon"....it isn't the music CD or a concert video. I don't see how some of these guys are giving this a 1 and 2 star rating because it doesn't have enough music on it - that's just plain stupid.

At nearly 2.5 hours, this concert DVD is an incredible bargain -- the equivalent of two CDs for less than the price of one. If you're an old Pink Floyd fan like me, you'll enjoy Waters' rendition of classic cuts from The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, and other PF epics, interwoven with a sprinkling of material from Waters' post-PF career. As other reviewers have noted, the visuals are pretty lame, but the music is great, and that's what counts, at least for me. If half-star ratings were allowed on Amazon I'd go with the consensus of 4.5 stars. Definitely a bargain at the price, though!

This movie scared me as a kid when I first saw it on HBO. It is action packed and really thrilling. You find yourself rooting for the teacher and her students. It takes place in Australia so the movie has that dialect, however, I encourage anybody who loves thrillers to see this movie.

A great big thank you to Warner Video for re-releasing Macon County Line on DVD. I sorely lamented missing the last DVD release, which resulted in having nothing to choose from but some very expensive even used copies floating around once the title was out-of-print or poor quality bootleg copies. I recommend grabbing this release while you can. Max Baer hit on a goldmine with the totally unexpected smash success of the film in 1974. This was especially amazing when you consider that it mainly played on the drive-in circuit during the initial release. Those who only know Max Baer as Jethro Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies will be in for a great surprise at the vast difference from that comical character and the character he portrays in Macon County Line.
