I thought this movie was pretty good. It is old school humor but it has a few yucks in there. Clooney is always good but this movie misses as compared to some of his better comedy roles. I still enjoyed it and think that it will get over with most. It just wasn't great.

RENEE ZELLWEGER plays such a klutzy frump of a girl in this British screwball comedy that it's hard to imagine COLIN FIRTH and HUGH GRANT fighting over her. We're told that it's because she so "natural" that she has men buzzing around her. Well, that might be true if Miss Zellweger looked more like Carole Lombard. In fact, one could easily see this as a screwball comedy back in the '30s if Hollywood made the story starring Lombard, Cary Grant (not Colin Firth) and James Stewart (not Hugh Grant). Get my drift? Instead, Miss Zellweger looks more like pudgy Lynn Redgrave of "Georgy Girl," an overweight and rather awkward young woman given to wearing tight clothing and making the most inappropriate remarks at the most crucial moments. She speaks her mind without ... Read More:

That's right, Zuper! Zuper! Richard Gere was great as the manipulative, money-hungry, publicity-grabbing laywer Billy Flynn working to get Roxie Hart (Rene Zellweger) off of a murder charge. John C. Reilly's "Cellophane Man" was surprisingly entertaining. Along with of course, Richard Gere's great "puppet man" scene.
But Zellweger really steals the show. Well, along with Zeta-Jones' super performances. Catherine Zeta-Jones with a real "triple-threat" performance (like that of Zellweger) really helped put this movie over the top. What a pair of bombshells. The Duo's closing number is awesome. Super choreography throughout the entire movie.

This is a good film for all ages. It has a different storyline than Finding Nemo so please don't use that as a reference. Alot of ppl are comparing them and the only thing that is the same is they're looking for a son and thats only part of this film. My 5 and 3 y/o love this film and think it's very funny.

After playing a vampire and a spy succesfully , Tom Cruise took on the role of a sports agent and succeeded. Jerry Maguire is one of the movie that after watching you feel good inside. Cuba Gooding Jr. won a well desreved Oscar for his role as Rod Tidwell. Regina King and Renne Zwellger are good as the female leads and Johnathen Lipnicki steals almost every scene. I love this movie.

It's really hard to find a good funny, not sleazy; comedy these days but this one makes the grade. Renee is funny, Hugh is his usual charming self, and Colin is one of the most under appreciated actors of this day. Here's one the whole family can watch and still not snooze.

Take the plot from Moulin Rouge, move it from Paris to the Civil War South, tweak it a bit here and there, and you get the film version of Cold Mountain. Placing an overrated Australian actress and a British pretty boy in the lead roles of a film meant to be about the American South during the Civil War is beyond offensive.
Were there no American actors available to take on these parts? Not surprisingly, neither Kidman nor Law could effectively nail the accents, which made an already trite, poorly executed love story even more painful to withstand. As is frequently the case with Nicole Kidman, you get a self-conscious, contrived performance rather than a reliable and convincing portrayel of a definitive character with true dimension. As is also frequently the case with her movies, ... Read More:
