This is my first review for Amazon. I really would like to do this more often after every film I watch, but I just either don't have the time or I get too lazy. Taken into account that I just watched this film and that it only has 2 reviews I'm going to start my reviewing with this title.

I won't go into plot details since they have already been given, but I will say that this film is given a reputation for being one of the better Indiana Jones knockoff films. It even says it on the back of the DVD case. I know this was made due to the success of the Indy films and I'm sure it was inspired by them, but this does not come as a knockoff at all. Nosotros Los Pobres(1947, We The Poor)is a classic from director Ismael Rodriguez. Pepe El Toro(Pedro Infante)is framed for murder and thrown in jail! Pepe's "daughter" Chachita(Evita Munoz)and his paralytic mother have to try and survive without him. NLP is corny and soap opera-ish at times, but it's engaging, filled with colorful characters, and it has some heart and soul. I am amazed at how Rodriguez got some gruesome violence past the censors(Don Pilar brutally attacks Pepe's defenseless mother, a man gets stabbed in the eye, etc). The first time I saw Evita Munoz, she played a greedy, obese, fat woman in a funny, side-splitting India Maria movie from the 1980's. In NLP, she looked so cute and adorable as a child. Two policemen who are trying to pretend to be enemies end up being the best friends of all. Pedro Infante and Luis Aguilar are just the perfect "mates" trying to do the worst to one another. This becomes a hillarious movie of all times. Fans of Pedro Infante, this is also a "Must have". Enjoy it. And if you can buy the sequel "¿Qué te ha dado esa mujer?" then do, cause they both are going to make you laugh.

No Desearas La Mujer de Tu Hijo

Domingo and Andrés Soler with Pedro Infante, they are really great. It's a must, for all of Pedro Infante's fans. But if you can, try buying first "La Oveja Negra", 'cause that's the first part of this movie. Or buy them both at the same time. The problem is if you buy "La Oveja Negra" first then you'll surely want to watch the sequel: "No desearás la mujer de tu hijo" and the same if you buy the sequel first (i'm telling you, I did that and I just wanted to keep watching).
Cruz Treviño (Domingo Soler) father of Pedro Infante in this film, likes women, and Pedro must do everything the father desires. These both films are funny but they also have drama on them. Just watch it and enjoy them.
